"Some of it is just natural skill. I've always been decent at going unnoticed, blending in. Some of it is training. I spent a few years in the Academy for officer training, but they noticed how quickly i picked up learning codes and such, so they picked me to be trained as an Intelligence Officer. A spy. So I spent quite a few years learning before I had a few trial runs doing intelligence gathering back in the Reich before I ended up over here looking into all of this. I just find it more comfortable to be in someone else's skin instead of mine own these days."

Flora dripped a tiny amount of a black substance into the ground up herbs, and a whiff of smoke rose as it became an oily-looking liquid. Flora poured it into a cup and went to find her sister.

"Hey, Iris! Got something for you to try!"
She noticed her companion and nodded.
"Hallo, Shaelynn. You try this, too."

Jann remained within earshot of the camp. Having felled a young dead ash tree, he carefully aligned its body aside before beginning to chop it into neat segments.

Shaelynn opened her eyes to look at Iris. "That does not sound entirely pleasant, I must admit." It was at this point that the two were approached by Flora. "Er, try what, exactly?"

"Pleasent? No, not really. But it's what I'm used to now. And... _Dammit..."

She quietly sighed and held out a hand for the cup.

"Yeah, ok. This one better not leave me feeling like that wyvern one did... What's even in this?"

She gave it a sniff, and shuddered slightly.

[GiglameshDespair]

"It's a little concoction. Should leave you feeling good and healthy."
She pouted slightly, playfully, as the wyvern-slayer was mentioned.
"Hey, it's fine! This one doesn't even have any laudanum in it."

She passed the cup over and quickly pulled out a little notebook, watching eagerly.

"If it tastes like strawberries, all is good. If it tastes like oranges... well, it's still fine._Probably."

Shaelynn eyed the contents of the cup as one might watch a sleeping reptile. "And what is the exact intended effect?"

Iris shook her head, knowing that her sister wouldn't drop this easily. She took a deep breath and then quickly took a small sip. She winced, and quietly asked,

"And... what if it tastes like old leather?"

"Then," she said gravely, "You have thirty seconds to live."
She placed a hand on her sister's shoulder.
"I'm afraid you're now going to poop your brain out through your shins. I'm sorry."

Shaelynn looked back and forth between the two sisters. That was a tasteless joke... Right?

"I see. Well that is unfortunate. I will miss you."

She kept the straight face for a second before bursting out in laughter.

"Just kidding. This one seems to have actually worked since it tastes like strawberry. Thankfully."

[GiglameshDespair]

Flora nodded grimly before she started laughing at the same time as her sister.
"Heheh. That's good to hear. Tiredness melting away? Any joint aches should be receding, stiff muscles should be relaxing. Now..." She turned to look at Shae, smiling. "Your turn, Miss Shae. As you can see, it's nothing bad."

Shaelynn nodded and took the cup from Iris. "Very well. If you are certain that its quite safe, I will put my trust in you." The Lady took a large mouthful of the concoction, and swallowed. "...That is surprisingly nice. Well done."

"Hmm, you're right. I am starting to feel a bit more refreshed. You should make enough of this for everyone. I'm sure others could use it."

"Do you have enough ingredients to make that much?" Shaelynn had noticed by this point that Flora seemed to constantly be scouring the area around herself for what appeared, at least to Shaelynn's eyes, to be random plants. This certainly explained why.
