Gregory grimaced as he moved forward towards the enemy dark mage, his wounds flaring as he climbing the hills and summoned twin orbs of flux and locked his magic against the opposing mage.

Gregory landed his big, thick load (of dark magic) on the shaman's face while Suzanne penetrated him from behind down to the shaft (of her knife). This double-teaming left him no chance to survive.

Gregory watched the enemy mage fall to Suzannes knife. Taking a moment to breath, he looked across the river at the other group of enemies that the rest of their allies were approaching. Nodding to himself for a moment he scrambled down the hill next to his allies.

"Whew." Gregory winced at his wound, bothering him after climbing down the hill "Now that that one isn't going to come at us from behind, I think it'd behoove us to endeavor to rejoin our allies. I don't want to try to take on those guys." He said, jerking his thumb at the enemies over the river. "Without us all being together. They can probably hold the river against just us four." He finished, offering his allies a pale faced grin.

Jann took a moment to glance around and assess everyone's health.
: "The knife thrower did a number on a few of us. We should take a minute to regroup. Take cover in the hills until then."
Jann to 9,11.

"Agreed." Suzanne wiped her dagger on the dead man's cloak, then made to leave. There was a pause. She turned back to Gregory for just a moment.

"You have medicine. If the healers are occupied, better a dose wasted than finding yourself unable to perform."

He was wounded, and she'd seen the pain on his face. But somehow, that didn't make him look weak, as she thought it would. If there were legitimate reasons to think less of him, as a person, as a leader, this was not one of them. When she felt concern (such as for his wound right now), when she felt inadequate in combat, when she felt bitter for all the wrong reasons, she hid that. Her expression was cast in steel.

Perhaps she was wrong.

Gregory jogged forward, keeping up with the rest of the group. He nodded to Suzanne with a grin.

"Thanks for your concern, but I think I'm going to be alright for now. The balance of this fight is tipping in our favor and I'm really not that badly hurt." After a few moments thought he continued "Besides, I'm sure I won't come to any further harm when we've got Siegfried along with us to catch all the enemy arrows, right?" He said with a small laugh as he patted Siegfried armor on the back.
