"I trust everyone is alright? Captain, you should have your men search the bodies before we proceed."

Cecil looks around.
"Is everyone okay? Alissa?"

Siegfried searches the bodies for anything meaningful; sigils, letters, etc.

"Hum... Good point. Last time we were involved in what looked like a bandit attack, it turned out to be something much more sinister. Perhaps these are not just opportunistic bandits after all. Still though, first things first, is anyone badly injured? And lets see about waking up those that got hexed." Gregory said as he moved south, looking for injuries on his way, making his way into the woods he shook Jann, Iris, and Suzanne in an effort to break the hex on them.

Jann, already awake before Gregory could reach him, stumbled towards the edge of the woods, steadying himself on a nearby tree.
: "Grrfh..." He steadied himself on a tree, opening his eyes to witness the dead bandits strewn about. A pause later as he processed it all, he punched a small dent in the tree in frustration.
: "...Damn it."

Cecil aids with the shaking.

Siegfried found a folded piece of paper deep in the jacket of the archer. The paper reads:

"The Reich miss is on the way. Play bandits and deal with her."

Gregory awkwardly watches as Jann punched the tree, wincing at the sound, worried he might hurt his hand.

"... Yeah... Don't worry though, we all came though it okay. I don't think anyone got seriously injured Jann. Certainly Shaelynn is still okay." Gregory offered to the muscular man.

[Chevaleresse]

Siegfried walks back toward the bulk of the group. "It appears that these were not your typical bandits." He holds up the paper toward the others.

Jann took a moment to stretch his weapon hand- plucking a couple chips of bark out- before sighing.
: "Good to hear that, at least. Next time though, have someone hit me. I won't care if you draw blood, even a little bit of pain is enough to break the hex, if I remember right."
Looking over to Siegfried, he slanted his mouth.
: "Figures. I didn't think normal bandits would have access to that kind of equipment."

Iris was shaken awake and she grumbled but started poking around the bodies to see if there was anything else to find besides the note, paying careful attention to see if there was anything indicating what continent these people had originally been from.

[Criptfeind]

"Well damn." Gregory said, his eyebrows raising as he read the missive. "It sounds like they were sent specifically after Shaelynn... That's probably a pretty important clue to who our target actually is." Gregory said, putting his hand over his mouth in thought. After a moment he brought his hand down, open and palm up. "Still. I think we should still go to Wyrmpeak."
