Passing-by sieges?
« on: July 01, 2016, 11:59:14 am »

Hello-goodbye sieges occur natively with threat assessment, but those actually target your settlement when checked in legends.

Is it possible to catch sieges from one settlement to another that is not your civ, such as from humans to elves, post-embarking on a strip of land connecting those two, much like embarking on camps?

Thus, here I wonder about the possibility of both trading and ambushing sieges with both elves and humans. It'd be neat, but is it actually possible or will those sieges just avoid your settlement or even teleport from region tile to region tile until they're at destination?

It's not yet known what causes a hello-goodbye siege. It's highly likely that it's the (unintended?) triggering of the siege alert itself that causes Legends to add an entry saying the group attacked your fortress even if they were on their way somewhere else (or were just a bunch of snatcher's carrying out their jobs).
