Meteoroid if it's not falling into an atmosphere, and it was more like a big evil planet.

I regret participating in the off-topic silliness. Could we get back to politics please?

Today in the Spokesman-Review: Dick Meyer: Media, politics exaggerate terrorism threat.

Hugely vastly overexaggerated here.

Most of our terrorism is jerkasses like peta or abortion clinics, if it wasn't for 9/11 muslims wouldn't even be on the scoreboard.

If you fold in south america they still aren't, narcoterror is a horrific thing, almost as bad as the tamil tigers last time I checked.

Not quite. The majority of terrorism here is actually radical environmentalists burning down car dealerships. Yeah.

Did that take the lead? My data is from the fbi world data sheet from several years back, and I was talking about most lethal actually. It was something like 14k deaths from Tamil, 13k from narcoterror, then I think like 4k or 7k from the IRA, 3k counting 9/11, 0.7k otherwise, with petashits and abortionassholes hitting around 1k each.

I was only looking at the number of attacks in the US, so that would explain the discrepancy. And yeah, there were about 80 ecoterrorist attacks compared to about 20 Islamist and 13 right-wing attacks over a 5+ year period. I'm working from memory, though, so those numbers are probably off.
