That'd result in splinter Ameri-threads forming, so be sure to name it appropriately.

Well, first there's the Executive thread where all the news about the election and actual American politics go.

Then there's the Legislative thread where people shitpost and fight and it gets locked immediately, and the resulting mess spills into the other threads every now and then.

And finally the Judicial thread where people argue mostly about the Second Amendment and other constitutional things in an arcane and referential manner, reaching no satisfying conclusion.

Excellent. Perfect description of the three types of conversation in Ameripol threads. Oftentimes I wish we could keep out the shitposting, and I don't like it when the thread is swallowed by legal arcana.

Americapol, we meet again.

Still no word on how Giant Meteor is polling against Nyarlathotep. :P

That survey is rubbish.  No cellphones and we know that cellphone exclusive households skew younger and more meteor inclined.

The meteor is staying at an undisclosed location after receiving death threats from Bruce Willis.

Shitposting is the Fourth Estate. And Milla Jovovich is the Fifth Element.

That was (supposedly, the jury is still out) a comet, and a meteor is during infall.

Which was also the best Bruce Willis movie ever made, yes, it edges out Die Hard because of Jovoboobs, and a remarkable case of a far future setting not looking instantly dated.
