Sexual orientation
« on: July 01, 2016, 06:20:24 am »

As the title says.

Do you think that it is important for you ahen you meet another person?
Do you judge other persons based on their sexuality?
Has your orientation changed at any point of your life?

I am honestly curious.

Yes, hanging out with anyone who isn't an attack helicopter is very frustrating.
Yes, as an attack-helicopter-kin I judge everyone who is incapable of hovering and blowing up tanks from miles away.
Yes, I didn't always know I was an attack-helicopter-kin until I noticed how aroused I got an an airshow watching the Apaches fly in.

... not sure what ahen means. When? In that case, almost never. Just about the only time it's particularly applicable to interpersonal interaction is when one or the other person is interested in pursuing a sexual relationship. All the rest of the time I have just as few fucks to give on the subject as the person in question is seeking to have with me. I don't need to know what you do in your bedroom (or wherever) to teach you, work with you, learn from you, etc., etc., etc., and knowing will do little to nothing regarding how I go about those things, which are vastly more important and take up significantly more time of anyone's life. Screwin's just not really that important in the grand scheme of things. Only so many hours of the day, and most people spend most of their time doing other things.

Generally not, but there are some exceptions. Most of the latter are themselves exempt when the person in question isn't indulging in it, though. Pedophilia would be the obvious example; got no beef for the folks that are oriented in that direction so long as they're not actually inflicting it on kids, but if they are, yeah, there's some judgment involved. Heuristic there is mostly just excessive/non-consensual harm. Anything that doesn't involve one or both is just kinda eh. No one being hurt permanently/significantly and/or without their own wish and I have trouble really understanding why I should care, 99+% of the time.

And yeah, a bit. Thought of homosexuality (well, vis a vis my own gender. The other one getting it on with itself has always been appealing :P) doesn't bother me nearly as much as it did when I was younger. Used to be pretty icky, now it's something I can look at, at times, and go "Yeah, okay, that's pretty hot," even if it still generally doesn't do much for me. Probably a lot closer to bisexual than I was a decade or two ago. It's been a slow thing, though, not anything that just suddenly happened.

Not really, unless I want to pursue a romantic relationship of some sort.  Among acquaintances or friends, I typically don't even ask, as its almost never relevant.

Every orientation has its share of assholes and good people.  Must not be a major factor then.

I don't really think so.  I've been curious every now and again, but I cannot say I've found anyone of the same gender attractive yet.  Although generally speaking I don't get that much dating or whatever going on regardless of what my partner would be.

I voted hetero, if that is relevant.

I'm a thing. I'm attracted to other things. Usualy at least somewhat feminine looking and that I happen to enjoy as a person.
I don't care about things other things do with their things, unless the other things aren't human things or past a certain age, then we may have a problem.

I am a sworn enemy of attack helipcopter kins. I will free the world of their gyrating depravity.

I'm some strange flavor of heterosexual and asexual.  I mostly just don't care about it at all, but I find females attractive, not males, and I'm male.  I've been told that just not caring about relationships is called "aromantic", but I've also seen that mocked as "hah, men just want sex and are aromantic naturally" so I avoid the term.

Do you judge other persons based on their sexuality?

No, and funnily enough I've come to realize that a very disproportionate number of my friends in life have been some variety of homosexual, bisexual or transsexual.  I've been told by some people that that was specifically because I didn't judge, so that's nice I guess.

Nope.  Well, I would say that when I was younger I was more interested in the thought of relationships with people, so the asexual thing is more recent.  Really, that may be more of a result of being introverted and subconsciously giving up on the idea of relationships altogether, but it doesn't bother me.

Not at all since the sexual orientation of people around me is irrelevant to me.

Quote

Yes and no. I honestly don't care if someone is Bisexual, asexual, homo or hetero.

I do however harbor a certain dislike for the third gender.
There are men and women and you are somewhere on that sliding scale.
Jut make your pick and stop telling people to refer to you as "they" or whatever pronouns tumblr invented.

I self identify as a hedonist with a slight annoyance towards the plethora of options and a tendency to fill out other on forums because it's few people's business.

Obviously, those apachekin are either very good friends or very dangerous enemy to tankers like me. Not that there's anything wrong with the friendly one, but I'd rather not see any. Bad experience on a field training excercise, y'know?
