Updated team rosters. Also you can call dibs on ground forces if you want but there's not much gameplay there and that's more of a late game thing 

Alright one more would be nice to balance it out but I'm sure more will join as the game progresses

Any chance of getting saves for people to mess about with as the game goes along? Mostly for people to better be able to come up with good designs for things.

Maybe but that would open it up so that pretty much anyone with a save would have "god mode" and be able to see everything from both factions. I might throw in my current Aurora campaign though for people to mess around in, as it is fairly developed.

Alright I got the Aurora campaign ready and I have set everything up. I will begin to create the respective topics for each faction, but please do not post on them yet since the game does not officially start until 12:00 AM CST on 7/11/16.

I don't see much reason to PTW when you'll be playing anyways  . But the game has "officially" started now anyways so feel free to do whatever. The time restriction was really more so I could get both threads set up before people started posting on them. I'm not a Nazi or anything.

That makes sense! If I'm participating in a game but don't quite have the time to make a contributing response, I like to leave a PTW so I can more easily find it later. I didn't see any harm in doing the thing but felt I should wait for a response because I don't know your planning. Now we know. And knowing is etc etc

I've always thought you only needed to post once in a thread to "subscribe" to it, so I didn't really see why you would want to PTW when you would be participating anyways. It's not really a big deal at all though.

Somehow I forgot to include research and racial tech information to the various threads so I'll add that. as well as the appropriate PDC information for both threads. Also I forgot the diplomacy thread, that will come eventually.

Also I forgot to auto assign at the beginning of the game so as I was running the game for a few years to get the PDCs built (since I can't create ships or PDCs for some reason using SM), a fuckload of officers on both sides were deemed 'surplus' and released from duty. It shouldn't be that big of a deal though.

 Mostly so one does not loose track of the thread in the meantime, particularly with your limit on when they can post meaning that it will be going farther and farther down the list. Plus, many people don't even check the main list, except for when they are specifically looking for something new.

 In any event, it would help immensely if links where provided somewhere conspicuous, like the first post, so people doesn't see the need to go and post in the threads to make sure that they don't miss anything. it would also help if there is no chance for them to miss anything happening in them, but that boat has already sailed.

Okay, quick announcement. To make my life easier when it comes to reading proposals, please bold your proposals. You don't have to go back and change them, but please do that from now on.

Additionally, the discussion phase "officially" ends tomorrow, on Friday, because the turn ends on Sunday, but I think there isn't enough people to make a formal voting phase necessary, so just start quoting and +1 the proposals you like.

Can I join? I don't mind joining either faction, and my experience level is "has heard of the game and read about it on its forums, but have never managed to actually get the game working on his computer".

Yeah sorry, this thing died due to the fact that it was actually signficantly harder to run Aurora in this fashion than expected. There are a few living/slow going games here if you want to check them out.
