Excellent summary, Lozzymandlas. A season to max out strength? Nice to have concrete data.

taptap: Lowest speed is 10k and will never to nearly never (translation: They will only have 1 or 2 brown or yellow wounds at time) hit. Low speed is 20k (push speed) and gives red wounds to unarmored dwarves right away.

Ok, misread. Never actually tested 20k speed, as higher speed rollers have no benefit over lowest speed (reg. dodge training). I never had any wounds on 10k speed neither dwarf nor on VCC. The ramp (should lead to a little above 20k speed) killed VCC either way, i.e. is not suited as passive replacement, but did not harm my dodging dwarf (who had some dodging skill already), although I did not run a really long test.

Higher speed rollers can actually hit targets, though they don't train dodge faster. 10k never injures, yes, 20k does with severity dependent on armor / maybe size? Testing other stuff myself atm.

Your dwarf wasn't merely lucky enough to get hit or your VCC needs armor.

For me nah, research put on backburner in favour of other projects.
