Thursday, August 19th, 2077.
6:44 PM
Seattle, UCAS

Bird
With your nice dark brew in hand, you wander over through the mostly empty bar to Adriana. She's sitting with a gentleman who's wearing a nice designer suit, and oddly, a golden, inlaid mask. Adriana is keeping her voice down so nobody hears. You hover, inspecting some art as you listen in [4 hits] "So what I'm telling you is that it's impossible for me to get you... that kind of PersonaFix that fast. Unless, you want me to hire a guy to steal them from someone who already has them, in which case it will cost about..." She looks at the ceiling, doing some mental calculations while tapping on her cheek. "About two and a half times as much" The man in the mask nods, and produces a credstick, which Adriana slots into her commlink, and then nods. "We have a deal then. I'll have the data delivered to your location" They shake hands, and the man departs. She notices you hovering, and says "Hey Adam, stop being a social butterfly and come sit! What's the saying... All work and no play makes Jack a dull Razorboy? Close enough, I think."

Stroheim
The locker was a bit of a mess, but the important stuff was all in place. Particularly your two favorite Colt Government's. The government never really did do any good, except for these. You pick them up, check the mags, loaded as always. You slide the mags back in, and pocket them as you toss on your nice jacket and step outside. As you make your way down to the corner, you ignore the AR ads that pop up in your vision. The corner where the bus pulls up is, as usual, full of discarded trash. The only thing left to do is wait.

Mjolner
The Aurora is still celebrating your exploit as you push your way out the door and into the night. You walk down the street, lit by the ghastly lights that give the Aurora it's name, ignoring the human detritus leaning up against the wall. As you get to your parking space, your chopper unlocks from your presence, and you hop on, pulling out and onto the 516, and speeding off towards Tacoma

Nails
With the setting sun highligting your as you walk away from the Nukit Burger, you toss your empty Soyburger wrapper into a nearby overflowing dumpster. Your van is parked at the corner, and it unlocks as it senses your presence. The air is grimy, that's the only way to describe it. You hop in the front seat, and turn it on, running Gridguide and setting your destination. Could be a while, but that's life.

Wrath
Taking the elevator down from the 20th floor, as the sunset flashes through the glass walls. From here you can almost see the Arcology, though the constant neon glow over downtown makes it hard. Stepping down into the lobby, the security guard nodding as your step into the late afternoon air. It's not nice air. The best way to describe it would be grimy, but it's the air you have. Moving two blocks down to the nearest elevated rail station, you climb up the stairs, slide in your ticket, and you're off, surrounded by the human element of the world.

Everett
The rest of the van contains various junk food wrappers, a few boxes of ammo, a bunch of random gear like binoculars, subvocal microphones, and a bug scanner. Scanning the compartment, you find what looks like grenades and a credstick. The tool boxes contain various specialist tools, which some you can tell have something to do with things ranging from drone repair to armor patching. Two medkits are strapped to the wall, one of which is about the size of your full hand, while the other is almost suitcase sized and has several monitors all over it, all currently off. You stand up in a crouch, and walk over to the back door. You crack it open, then swing it open as the neon light blinds you. You're in what looks like a major city, and a quick look at all the ads running shows that you're in Seattle. A quick tab though the (entirely empty) commlink confirms this. You're parked in a back alley between two skyscrapers. A slow trickle of people passes in the street in front of you. You close the back door and make your way to the front seat. The van has a large solar panel on the top, and a landing pad for drone, and a smaller rack on the side. You can see a large Tower drone sitting on the landing pad, while a deflated Condor sits in the rack, and a Pelican in the slot below it. You climb in the front seat, noting a "Manual" button, and start her up. With quiet hum, the van starts. You sit. Thinking. Why the hell are you here? And is it worth getting answers?

Adam smiles as he takes the now unoccupied seat.
"Coincidentally, I may have some work lined up. Got some time before I'm supposed to show up though so I'm probably gonna bolt in an hour or two..."
He pauses and sips his drink.
"Anyways, I figured I'd give you a heads up. So who was it that you were talking to?"

(("The government never really did do any good, except for these"

I like that line, I'll have to use it sometime :P.))

Stroheim arrives at his destination at twenty-hundred hours. The bus showed up quickly enough, but he took it to a second location, hoping around on several buses in an attempt to keep his safe house's location a secret. And to kill time, arriving too early isn't fun for anyone. Once he steps off the final bus, he walks obviously and casually to the door, mumbles "Eximious" to whoever is watching it, and enters the building.

As Mjolner was drunk, he let the Grid-guide take him to his destination. It didn't look as badass, following local traffic laws and all that jazz, but the last thing he needed was an accident.

When he finally arrived, Mjolner got off the bike and walked towards the front door. He then asks to see "Eximious".

(Just want you guys to know that you're going to a nightclub)

Nails watches cars go by as he is slowly taken to his destination, and takes a moment to switch SINs and straighten his tie. When he arrives, he steps out and walks toward the door in a fairly obvious manner.

Wrath arrived in the area early hoping off the rail and walking the rest of the way.  You could miss a lot, good and ill, driving through the city.  The smells, the local shops that still struggled to make it, the people.  Though when you can't really afford a ride it makes it less an interesting choice and more of a necessity.

He gets a look around the area anyway, noting how the night life here begins to wake up and checking out some shops that are still open.

Sighing, Everett headed towards the meet, trying to think of a place to part about five minutes walk away that would be reasonably safe, from both the legal and the illegal forces of the city.

Bird
"You? Working? As opposed to sitting around in my apartment all day? Well, at least you pay rent." She winks at you, and then continues. "That guy? Oh, he's just some Yakuza who wants some PersonaFix's for his Bunraku parlor. It's not something I would usually sell, but this guy is desperate due to some White Hat wiping his servers and needs to get the cash flowing again. Whatever. Nuyen's Nuyen." She looks into her drink, and then smiles. "So what kind of job is it?"

Theme Music

Everyone
The club you approach is almost hard to spot, but the music coming from the doorway tips you off. The "entrance" is really just a concrete set of stairs descending into the ground lined which are covered in black panels, and lined with white neon, surrounded by warehouses and warehouse accessories, like parking lots and depressing buildings. The entrance is guarded by what looks like a huge human who is openly carrying what looks like an assault rifle, leaning against his shoulder, with the barrel pointing in the air. It's dark, except for the club, but just down the street is the main nightlife area of Tacoma. But the fact the club is off the beaten path is only a bonus for the clientele.
The guard about 6' 5'' tall and built like a boulder. He looks like he's not left that sport in years, but somehow has maintained a perfect build. He's Caucasian, with his hair grown out long. He's wearing sunglasses that obscure most of his upper face, but his lower face has a few scars. The assault rifle is long, jet black, and menacing. Various bulges on his expensive suit make you think it's not the only option he has.

Nails
As you approach, you manage to find a parking spot for the van without too much hassle, and start approaching the club. There was nobody currently at the entrance, but the human was there. As you approach, his head swivels over to you, watching every step you take. When you get within 3 feet, he points at an outline of two feet drawn in the ground. You stand in the indicated position, and two long vertical bars pop out of the ground, and do a quick loop around you. He looks at something in AR, nods. The two bars retract, and then he looks at you.
"Why are you here?"
"I've a meeting with Eximious"
The guard raises one eyebrow slightly, and then waves you down with a meaty paw.
"Go to the second floor. It's the 3rd door on the left." He says over your shoulder as you walk down the stairs. "And be on your best behavior, or I'll ensure you will."

Everett
You fiddle around with your van and eventually figure out how to get the GridGuide on. You then input the address and the truck slowly trundles south, as you stare at the unfamiliar city around you. Why the hell are you here, you think for the 4th time today. The skyscrapers of downtown slowly fade out and get replaced by the slightly less tall buildings of what a helpful sign tells you is Tacoma. The truck exits the 5 eventually and you roll into what looks like an area of warehouses and warehouse accessories. [5 Hits] When the GridGuide tells you you're about 5 minuets away, you spot an empty alleyway that is very well lit and has several cameras linked to the security systems of nearby warehouses. You drive in and park your truck, hiding it behind a wall so it would be impossible to spot from the street. This should be safe from any prying eyes, and from anyone who wants to steal it. Looking down the street, it's mostly dark, but you can spot what looks like a bright light about halfway down.

Wrath
Getting off on a stop about 5 minuets away, you walk down the street as you see a truck turn into an alleyway nearby. The area that the club was located can be best described as unpleasantly functional. The warehouses, and warehouse accessories on the street are gray, depressing and dark on this this street. The only sign of life is the occasional automated truck pulling into one of them, and the cigarettes that you can only see as points of light off in the distance behind razor wire topped fences. As you continue down the street, you spot the club that must be important. You slowly move forward, and scope it out as two people approach from opposite directions attempt to enter.

Stroheim and Mjolner
The bus schedule failed to work out the way you wanted, and you show up later than you want to. However, you're still on time. As you approach the club, you see what looks like a dwarf dismount a bike and approach from the opposite direction. The large guard looks at you and points towards two footprints drawn on a panel, where you stand. Two vertical scanners pop up, and do a loop around you, scanning you. The guard looks at something in AR, and then looks at you.
"Why are you here?"
"Eximious."
He nods, then says "You have two firearms on you. You must check them at the bar as soon as you enter on the first floor. Failure to do so will lead to me reacting. Is this understood?
Meanwhile, the dwarf, who's wearing what looks to be a biker jacket, has strolled up and is waiting, leaning up against a nearby traffic sign.

Bird shrugs. He looks around briefly before leaning in.
"No clue, part of why I came over. You ever hear the name 'Eximious'?"

"Your scanner must be broken. It didn't pick up these guns."

Stroheim flexes his arms with a "Pow!"

"Can't shoot as far, but fully loaded and almost as deadly. Can punch out a trog in one hit, if there lucky."

He then changes his pose, looking behind him.

"You're still here halfer? Thought you'd take the hint if I held up the line. Guess I gave your kind too much credit in the brains department." Third pose, now flexing more than just the arms. "And I though you was dumb as a rock before. See these, shorty?" Fourth pose, showing off as many muscles as possible. " Perfect human muscles. Your kind can't compare to them. I could lift up your strongest with my pinky finger and throw 'em across the street without trying." Fifth pose, now looking back towards the club. "Ya ain't got brains, you ain't got brawns, all you got is booze. Speaking of which, this guy reeks. Might want to give him a twice over doorman. Smells like he got kicked out of every other bar and is looking for his fix. I wouldn't let 'em in if I was you."

Stroheim finally starts walking down towards the club.

"Your house, your rules. Just make sure they take good care of 'em."

Everett checks that hes outfitted correctly(with basically everything but the small medkit, credstick, his Streetline and its spare mags sitting in the van) and heads over to the club, making sure the streetline is concealed and shutdown as he goes.

Wrath sides up along side the dwarf and comments to him while gesturing at Stroheim "Someone thinks he is in player mode." then complains to the loudmouth "Hey buddy, move it, some of us actually want to get inside this century."

He then waits his turn to get scanned.

The dwarf gives Stroheim an angry look.

"You shouldn't mess with people you don't know. Bad things can happen if you meet the wrong person."

Mjolner then leaves the place and goes somewhere unknown.
