I'm sure this has already been mentioned or explored, but hilarious finding on vampires via a friend's fort:

Because of their stubborn predisposition to not breathe, vampires are able to be strangled for weeks on end until they overpower the strangler.

This particular event involved a giant cave spider whom thought it would be a good idea to strangle an unarmed "explorer"

Possible applications of this could include "strangling farms" where you train your undead combat squads via subjecting them to eternal choking until their stats are phenomenal.

Any other thoughts or implementations?

ive never meet a GCS but cant it do other attacks than strangle and spit webs? i feel as if ive read something about venom and biting.

They can definitely bite people, and inject paralytic venom when they do. It's part of why they're so threatening. Even if a dwarf survives the initial attack, he may die to suffocation as his lungs are paralyzed.
