You can alternate taking away Moony's thing every month till you get a shell. Maybe buying an armadillo from elves, or off a FB/titan/demon.

1st Granite, 321
Right. So. Im overseer now. This should be...

Yes, exactly the right time for the eight of you to apply for residency. Good timing. Well, yer going to have to wait some, need to check on the rest of the place. I know there's a few things we need already, such as dedicated temples, but there's probably something else too. Like, soap! Soap and tables for surgery and actual meals!

Right, so, 50 soldiers, of which twenty are on duty, and all are mixed compositions save for the Slick Constructs. What a name. Well, looks fine to me, though we need to get them better gear soon. Currently, they either have what they brought or are mostly clad in copper armor. Well, get the forges working on some iron, see if we cant turn it into steel.

Spme basic plans started on the new temples, I found a list of seven deities worshiped here and ordered a statue made of each, along with a number of chests. Oh, and the tavern is getting a few new rooms to rent.

2nd Granite, 321
Invasion! Ooh... This is an issue... Which lever is it...

Dude! We are getting attacked! Get outta here!

Boardsky! Thats the wrong way to the tradedepot! you want to be killed?!

Good man!

Right, you lot, yer in! Now get in the army!

5th Granite, 321
Well, they haven't ventured into the fortress yet... And we have another visiting Parasol nutter...

Eh, may as well check the herds...

Less then I expected. Still, plenty of dogs to train and boars to butcher. Porks for dinner lads!
Also, another visiting soldier...

6th Granite, 321
A performance troop going by the name of "They Sprayed Skins" has shown up. Sofar, its just one man standing at the edge of our lands.
Theres a fire imp making a pain of itself in the stairwell. One of the mercs is taking care of it, mostly. However, we have lost one of the forts children and what I can only assume to be their mother to the poor thing. It must have slipped in via the magma ducts. I have dispatched the new squad down to deal with it.

7th Granite, 321
Two more dead.

Have ordered expansion of clothing production area and workshops to dye cloth.

8th Granite
Oh, look. a vile force of darkness to go with our non-functional invasion. Hurrah.

[ERROR: IMAGE NOT FOUND]

9th Granite
Both of the sieges have apparently wandered off. Strange.

19th Granite
Not terribly much going on. New pathway up from the forges built, many new mercenaries visiting and a few hired on. Work on the temples is going slowly but surely.

Soap is being made in small quantities, and a new workshop area is being planned, complete with refuse storage. Also, the forges are having their ore storage area expanded by a large amount.

20th Granite
A roc flew with sensor range, causing the guard to be scrambled to near the access passage. It chased after a goose initally, giving enough time for the troops to assemble on the surface. Initially, the plan was for the roc to come to us, but when it attacked a visiting ballpoint agent we where given the order to charge. Eventually it was killed with no loss of life on our side, though it started raining blood again just after and a fair few suffered from seeing the surface for the first time in months.. Also, reminder, produce new clothing. These bits are getting worn right out.

25th Granite
While the migrants where still filing into sensor range, Moony the planter went berserk. While attempting to subdue them The Colonel seems to have gotten a tad angry and lopped off their head. Sensor logs indicate this was over the lack of shells, of all things. Worse yet, there was a note about this in the log that I failed to note. While the military worked to subdue them, Moony managed to kill atleast two while fighting on the main stairwell, Rith Vutoklerteth the miner and Sarrak Komanmosus the planter. With all the migrants filed in, we are currently up to 170 persons living here.

8th Slate
Have ordered production of a number of steel stubguns. Steel production is going well thusfar. In other news, three of the temples are up and running in limited amounts. New hallways between that area and the clothing work area have also be designated, inorder to lessen foot traffic through the narrow hallway between it and the tavern. Stocks of backpacks and waterskins for the army have also been ordered.

10th Felsite
The body of Zaneg Sazirstettad was found today in the entry hall. Steps have been taken to prevent this from happening again via the construction of a bypass.

15th Felsite
A degenerate "Scholar" attacked Taloniswolf outside the fortress. After a short combat the degenerate was killed, and Taloniswolf was unhurt. There are no clear sensor logs of the actual fighting, due to a particularly nasty bit of staining on the cameras.(Read, I dident see what was going on until after the fact)

Both sieges just wandered off? That's odd, should that be reported to the tracker?

Also that temple looks sweet as hell.
