To answer Splint's query about the dorfs and their job titles:

(In no particular order)

'The Master' Uthiralath (female), Best Mom Ever / Bookkeeper; has minor metalworking skills
'Ilasram' Ralducim (male), Mechanic; Also has clothier, siege engineer, and speardwarf/soldier skills
MidnightJaguar (male), Jeweler; also has speardwarf/soldier skills
Aldraglienon (male), Engraver; also has axedwarf/soldier and miscellaneous farming skills
ZM5 (male), Stoneworker; also has fishery worker skills and is a dancer and musician

That good?

Nice, hope my dorf ends up either doing something awesome or dies in a memorable way.

Is the wall made of smoothed blocks? People can climb over rough block walls now.

Nope. Different problem. Question: how much more can I pretend that my constant dumbass mistakes are just because I'm roleplaying as a dumbass and not that I'm actually a dumbass?

In any case, we now have a reliable supply of water, which is nice.

Mug production has outstripped the hauler's ability to supply the crafts shop with stone. What do

Have the haulers use mugs to haul stone. A convoluted conveyor belt system utilizing lots of leather and mugs would do.

Don't think that's possible sadly. Wheelbarrows will have to do.

The temple is now finished. I decorated it nice and pretty.

E: Precisely 2/3s of the way through Summer.

Add a reaction with DFhack to make wheelbarrows out of mugs.

Is your plan really to flush water into hell, and have the CARP marines fight them without threat of flame or disease?  If so, you are awesome, and one of the greatest DF military visionaries I've seen yet ( not that I've seen that many, or any, for that matter )

Finished summer.

What shall we do for military? All I can find on the map is copper, which is in limited supply, and probably won't survive long as armor.

I guess I have to retract my statement of not needing to import metals, since we only have copper maybe we should us it to make basic armor and trade for better soon.

I'm sure everything will be fine. There must be more metals further down, r-right?
