Ya know, if you added weapon tags to the mugs, we could probably get invaders to show up with them and go for mug-to-mug combat. The combat logs would be glorious ...

Fucking hell man, you aren't just getting the short end of the stick, you're being beaten with it.

Is your plan really to flush water into hell, and have the CARP marines fight them without threat of flame or disease?  If so, you are awesome, and one of the greatest DF military visionaries I've seen yet ( not that I've seen that many, or any, for that matter )

Can't mod mugs themselves I don't think, but it would be a simple matter to add combat mugs.

It would appear I'm not on the turnlist. I can't necessarily promise that I'll be able to play my turn when it comes around, but I've got a machine that can do it and I'd very much like to try.

If you're modding combat mugs, consider also modding them to be usable as ammo.

You can already fire them out of siege engines with DFhack. Just need a linked stockpile with lots and lots of mugs.

Haha, though I'm not sure mugs should be more dangerous than usual weapons, being mubs.

However, I do recall a movie where a mug was used as sharp implement to strike a man in the heart as well.

To be fair, the combat mugs are made out of silver, and are wielded by angry drunks. And the mugzookas fire them at a high velocity.

And yeah, the mugzookas are supposed to look like elongated mugs too.

A mug-shaped recoilless mug launcher should be fairly easy to engineer.

Was that "The Chronicles of Riddick" perchance? Or are there other moves involving death by smallish drinking implement?

Mugzookas sound awesome though. I would love one irl but possession of such a weapon is probably a warcrime...

I can only think of these two scenes (not Riddick). Funnily enough both involve the same character, just in different movies.

Yeah, I suppose silver mugs, even if they weight little compared to hammers (right?), might still be pretty deadly. Weapons-grade metal, indeed.

PS: Don't remember the name of the movie, sorry. It was a long time ago.

Alright! I'll post my first turn around tomorrow morning! No massive delays, no massive hype, just expect the normal kind of turn you expect of me. You know, normal.
