Let's be honest gentleman, when it comes to Spearbreakers, there's a fine line between shit post, mug post, and sane post. Oh, and the occasional game post.

None of us remember where that line is.
If I can fit it in, this is going in my actual sig.

It is done.

Can we please quit with the side conversations?
Woooooow. You really are new here. Like "new to the forums and the genre of succession fortresses" new. Side conversations are where some of the most hilarious stuff happen. If you don't like side conversations, then perhaps I should suggest you read the Something Awful forts instead, as they're got all the side conversations trimmed out.

Paraphrased from update.

I have discovered why we ran out of drink so rapidly.

Lefton, you fucking idiot, you cooked all of our booze.

Is your plan really to flush water into hell, and have the CARP marines fight them without threat of flame or disease?  If so, you are awesome, and one of the greatest DF military visionaries I've seen yet ( not that I've seen that many, or any, for that matter )

It's Braveworks, you ass. Bravemule was something way better than this mess can hope to be.

And I thought I had set booze to "DO NOT COOK YOU BEARDED ASSHATS" when I embarked.

Also, the brook froze. I really hope evryone likes millet beer and apple cider for the rest of their lives.

Fixed. Again. Oops.

What's the current life expectancy in Braveworks at the moment?

My guess, assuming the paltry amount of drink isn't shared so everyone gets at least one drink, I'd say a season for some people. We'll make it through the winter, but there very well may be corpses. Very sober and very dry corpses.

Is there any water in the caverns?

Pssh, like I'm gonna worry about looking for the caverns.

Knowing our luck we'll tunnel into magma instead by accident. On your turn.

A season on average is an upgrade from the first fort!

Plant gathering in the caverns can get you all the underground seeds/plants. Levels up very fast too. Alternatively, cave in the brook somewhere. Ice, when caved in, should turn to water (old "how to survive on glaciers back in 40d" trick)

Well, gathering is allw ell and good, but now there's another problem.

We needed so much space to store dingo meat that now we have idiots refusing to put the fruit and plants down long enough to brew them.

Gathering is unique that they'll actually grab a ton at once before dropping it, if there's no stockpile, they'll eventually drop it outside. Forbidding it from the "v" screen also works. I've seen herbalists with *pages* of "Hauled" x.

Either way, stubborn barrel users will probably kill someone. There's already bucket complaints.

1. Always reserve barrels.
2. Pity we can't get them to drink dwarf blood.
3. I put 5 gold coin on myself as the first dwarf to die.
