I guess I never figured out what curry is. Is it like grits?
While both are excellent, god no.

Although curried grits might be good. Or terrible. Not likely to find out either way.

FOR GREAT !!SCIENCE!!

EDIT: Apparently curry grits are a thing in places like Trinidad. Make them with coconut milk and red curry paste. Which sounds fantastic, and I will have to try making soon.

I'd assume it'd work with an indian style curry sauce. Like a less crunchy version of daal.

Hm, that actually doesn't sound half-bad.

Huh what a coincidence, I actually had curry for lunch!  Thai Yellow curry with coconut milk (Gang Karee, apparently).  Carried back from a walk.
It was... hm...
Pretty dang tasty, but not actually hot at all.  Which is odd because I've eaten there before and had some pretty spicey pad thai.  Oh wait, I have a little sauce container I didn't open.  Maybe it's spicey?

... yes, yes it is !!!:D!!!

Karee isn't really supposed to be spicy. It's the Thai version of "Indian curry" (i.e. lots of turmeric and cumin and coriander but none of the red or green chilies that make Thai food so wonderfully hot usually).

For spicy Thai curry, try red or sour curry. Or if you can find it (and you're lucky enough to have a South Thai chef), khua kling -- a dry curry mixed with minced pork/chicken. Tastes amazing, and usually peels your face off.

Actually, a lot if not most Thai dish are not hot when served. It's just that Thai will then lather them with the four traditionnal condiments: fish sauce with chillies (hot and salty and savoury), dried chillies (hot), chilly vingar (hot and sour) and sugar.
