To be fair, I think we've basically said every game that exists that matches the criteria "four player, co-op, one computer, more than just pew pew" Drop any one of those and you get a bunch of options.

How about Jamestown? I don't normally even into shoot-em-ups but I found it rather fun. It's got 4 player local co-op and can be devilishly hard.

I was just about to mention that - saw it today as I was going through my Steam queue.

If early access is acceptable, that opens up a few options as well.
