I don't suppose if you're nerffing the benefit you could nerf the downside as well. In swordstars game you only take the extra damage when you fail the attack.

Yeah but still. It doesn't feel good to see an interesting skill in a game, get excited, build a character around it, play though the game until you almost get the skill, talk to someone about it excitedly because you're about to have access to it. And then when you go to sleep for the night they run to the gm and ask them to nerf it. :/

It was probably too powerful as it was, but I hope you understand why I'm a bit upset.

It's not even the most broken thing in the game anyway >.>

I put something in the thread before you went to sleep and I said I wanted to talk to hasp about it. You were potentially getting an extra 30 damage before crit as a first class ability. That's super powerful. Even 15 damage is powerful though the offset of missing and attacking yourself is a decent negative to help offset it. It wasn't any sort of personal thing. I'm sorry it upset you but I stick with it needed nerfed. Only reason I didn't say something before this is because I didn't pay attention to it because I wasn't interested in a shaman tbh.

Yer a spellcaster with high RES and you will be defaulting to attack non-RES enemies anyways.

And you already have decent hit plus supports plus there's Altha and Alissa with their Daunt and Charisma respectively.

In my world all "once per battle" skills are null and void anyway, but when it's just 50% extra damage (while anyone can crit and do 200% extra any number of times per battle) it's even more null and void, with or without the risk of backlash on miss. Why not wait until the skill proves overpowered in practice, and then nerf it as necessary? Especially considering that it's something that a player based their class choice on.

It was pretty op (unless... If it was once per battle. Then it probably wouldn't have been op at all..).
