Looks like he tried to move to a place he can't reach and got shunted to the closest square he could.

My usual modus operandi in such situations, yes v|

Alissa could dance him from there, and he'd still get to (4,7). Or dance Arnold so he gets to (4,7). Altha can only do 1 damage to Ekara, so I don't think she's a good dancee.
I think Arnold is probably the best to get moving as quick as you can. We'll ultimately win against this mage like, fairly easily no matter who fights her? She's neutered by lack of support, so really the biggest sorta thing we want is more healers to secure us as we grind her down. Since she's ranged too it'd be nice to have a healer to heal our healer. That said maybe she'll just get in a fight to the death with Gregory over his perceived insult and Gregory can wear her down as our healer stays safe.

Won't she double Gregory (8 AS vs. 4 AS), knocking him out with any successful attack or counterattack? In any case, I think it would be great if Iris stepped forward to (10,3). With her there, Ekara can't lodge herself in the doorway, and we'll be able to gang up on her. Ekara kan knock Iris out with one hit, but we'll still be able to reach and heal her next turn. No-one can tank or snipe Ekara very well, so I think a full-on physical assault is our best bet. Friderick, Siegfried and Cecil could finish her off pretty quickly by piling on the Slim Lances.

Lol, you're right, I missed that (too busy paying attention to raw speed.) lol rip Gregory. It's probably fine to just let Gregory be downed. Fredrick can pick up him until we have more healers.

Looking at it, no, we shouldn't just rush her down, with her vantage she can actually just kill everyone in the upper group. We should stall (with Siegs face as per normal, he can tank for a bit at least with a healer backing him up) until the rest of the group, particularly Arnold, get there.

I think we let gregory absorb a turn of hate and then pick him up, possibly for the rest of the map. Then just hold the line.

Edit: Oh, you don't mean a physical rush right this moment. That makes more sense yeah. Uh. Hum. Iris running forward when help is quite a few turns out, Hum, it keeps the mage from being able to hold the chokepoint, but it's a bit more dangerous to recover her as opposed to just picking up Gregory. Also if she downs Greg that means she's moved off the pillar.

The three spearguys I mentioned all have enough HP, RES and AS to survive one attack on Ekara. She'll probably knock someone out in the EP, but with Flora and some vuln, we should be able to recover from that. Even easier once Arnold gets there.

I must say I don't quite understand your plan with Gregory. Do you mean that we should hope that she'll hit him every EP, bring him back from KO during our phase and wear her down with his counterattacks? Won't that be essentially the same as my plan in terms of healing requirements, but much slower?

The important thing is that Ekara won't be able to get to (10,4) or (10,3). Next turn, we can just flood into the room she's in and protect/heal Iris. Ekara won't get any more attacks per turn because we're in there. You do have a point about luring her off the pillar, but Slim Lances have so much Hit that it doesn't matter very much.

No no, I first thought you meant do a rush now and like attack her now. Cecils going to take a while to get here, and she could easily kill us all before that happens. You're right we could like, do that and use a shit ton of Vuln and stuff to stay up, I'm not sure if it's worth using our vulns though.

As for what I meant with Gregory, just that... If we want to hold her in the doorway (maybe maybe not, It's a good point that it'd be nice to not have her there.) we can just let Gregory go down and the spear dudes can move him out of the way, possibly keeping his body in their inventory if we don't find the time for healing. Since it looks like we ether A: Let Iris get downed and then are a bit obligated to move into the room, picking her up maybe even and spending heals. (Which also gives us the option to use a lot of vulns to start attacking her.) or we let gregory get downed, the spearmen can pass his body outside of the mages range and ether heal him back to standing (at which point he's probably useless for the rest of the fight) or just keep a hold of his body in the hands of like... Fredrick. Which gives her a chokepoint to hold against us, but then also makes it a lot easier for us to stall the turns it will take for our allies to get here.

I personally feel like it's not worth using Vulns to attack her when we have Arnold on the way. I'd be up for Iris getting Wrecked and then the spearmen and Gregory congalining her body out of the room thou.

Something like Iris goes to 10-3, gets downed, Fredrick picks up her body from 10-4, Sieg moves to 10-3, Gregory picks up her body from Fred from 10-5 and drops it and she gets healed? After that Sieg gets attacked but not downed (if he doesn't attack on his turn) and can start being healed. Then he or Flora or Fred just tank the mage, keeping her on the pillar until Arnold gets there? Once Arnold is there we can just out heal her attacks and start piling on damage.

Iris to (10,3) is the part I'm fervent about, although that's still up to Swordstar, of course. I haven't planned out precisely how to balance doing damage, receiving damage and healing. Staying on the defensive until we join up might be a good idea. We'll see how events develop. I'm still not sure why you seem to regard being in the northern room as much more dangerous and vuln-soaking than staying outside the door. Like I said, Ekara still only hits as often as we hit her, plus one. The only added risk I can see is that it might be easier for her to get to Flora if you go inside, so yeah, we do need to watch out for that.

It's the easier access to Flora, harder for us to maneuver our dudes. But mostly I'm not saying being in is more damaging to us, just that
a full-on physical assault
would be very damaging to us, at least if we did it right now.

I think it's fine to move the speardudes in since Gregory can grab Iris and pull her out for heals. I just think it's a bad idea for them to be attacking the mage as they go in.

Ah, in that case I think we're substantially in agreement. My idea was to go in, make sure we have Ekara where we want her, prepare ourselves and then go Lances out for Iris.

You might be getting a bit too hung up on the idea of sacrifice. This isn't a game where you get down and you're dead. Pawn for queen is perfectly reasonable when it just means you take the pawn off the board and place it back down somewhere else next turn. >.>
