Donut do yet etc

Thanks! Thoughts: 1300G for lockpicks what the fuck? Why does Iris need a 1000G rapier? Is it a rare find and/or a bargain at that price?

Edit: I understand that the picks can earn us a lot more than that in loot. It just seems like a lot of money to ask for a few bent pieces of metal.

Rapier is effective vs horse and armor, lockpicks are just stupidly expensive.

The 1000g Rapier is the Unique Weapon for Fencers, and is a very good weapon at that and is Effective against Horseback (a common-ish type) and Armored (an annoying to deal with type), in addition to just being a pretty good weapon.

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

Royal rapier is fencer class weapon. It has over double the might of my current weapon, has 10 crit, 40 uses, and as BMM said is effective against horse and armor, two things iris would otherwise be less good against.

Lockpicks are standard useful thief implements if we want to be able to open chests ever

Unless I missed it, there's not like, great other thrusting weapons.

Like if there was cheapo steel rapier that might be worth thinking about as well? But. There's not. I think.

Hasp basically said we need to buy stuff to see last few shops. So I'd say have flora buy her axe, shae buy her tome, and Cecil buy iron sword from cav shop. Relatively cheap stuff that hits three different shops

Are we likely to forgo or replace the lockpick purchase?

Otherwise, I may have Suzanne pick them up soon after receiving a response about how much we can sell vulns for.

Just buy a chest keyring for chests and bash doors instead :P

Seems unlikely but hold off on that for now just because of how expensive it is and the fact that we could potentially grab the keyring which opens 5 chests for now. Lockpicks give 15 uses but they're also stupid expensive and everyone can use key ring so maybe basically lol

I'm resigning from this game, effective immediately. I'm too busy, and I can't bring myself to enjoy the firmly established playing style that very strongly favors collective decision making. An OOC process that in practice is dominated by a few influential veterans. I did try my best to make it work, I'm actually a little sad to abandon Arnold and everything else in Overseasland. It was fun, occasionally, but all too often it was a frustrating chore. It doesn't feel like I'm doing anything but putting fluff on choices that other people have made for me. I don't think that's what playing a game should be like, and I don't see it changing, regardless of who becomes Captain, how many staves Arnold gets, etc.

I hope the rest of you will enjoy the game and that you'll find a good replacement soon. Personally, I am done.
