Name: Azayaka Kodaibito
Age: >1,400
Gender: Female
Sex: Female
Race:
, allegedly a regular human who has obtained immortality
Appearance: Actually rather short, and the strange-looking hat on her haid never seems to fall off, even during high-speed combat. The appearance in the picture is what she wears during school hours and other such occasions, but she can change her outfit to a casual one any time, using illusion magic. Allegedly.
Personality: Gentle and kind at heart, though a little bit old-fashioned. She's quite friendly to humans (and beings that look like them), but she doesn't favor them so much over any other race as to affect her work substaintally. She speaks in a very archaic fashion, and is surprisingly ditzy when caught off-guard. Other than those times, however, she dilligently maintains her aura of nobility and gracefulness. Azayaka is always very vague when talking about herself, such as how she became immortal and how she learned about monsters.

Perks: Rippling Life Energy: Each living character or object of importance has its own Qi. Any one person's Qi starts off at (10% of Max HP, rounded down). Every 5 Qi points down, they suffer a 20% decrease in the effectiveness in all of their attacks. Every 5 points up, they gain a bonus 20% effectiveness. If the Qi points go into the negatives, the penalty is doubled and they suffer (Absolute value of Qi points) damage every turn. The penalty cannot go beyond an 80% decrease in effectiveness (90% if the Qi is in the negatives)
Sennin of Dragon Veins: Azayaka regains 2 Qi points every turn.
The Masterful Art of Plates: Every two turns, Azayaka may use a Porcelain ability as a free action. It also costs the regular amount of Qi if it's used while using Legendary Stone Boat.
Thou Art Not Welcome Here: When fighting against an eldritch being, whether she is defending or attacking, Azayaka has a bonus +50% to her rolls.
Affinities: Feng Shui, Life-energy manipulation, Supernatural Being Knowledge
Actions:
Spiritual Meditation II: Azayaka drinks from a plate of sake, losing 5 Qi points now but increasing her Qi regeneration to 4 for 3 turns. Don't tell the headmaster.
Windy Spiraling Discus III: Azayaka throws a plate infused with wind energy. Deals (1+ALVL)d4+SYN damage, and deals damage to the target's Qi equal to 20% of the original damage. Costs 2 Qi to use. 3 Range.
Splitting Eastern Cyclone III: Azayaka disrupts the flow of Qi in the target. Deals (1d4+ALVL) damage to the target's Qi. 4 Range.
Energy-Based Pneumatic Water Pump II: Azayaka saps the target's Qi into water. Deals (1d4+ALVL) damage to the target's Qi, and creates a bubble of energy beside them filled with the lost Qi that anyone other than the target can absorb. Can be cast on herself. If cast on herself, she can specify how much Qi is damaged. 3 Range.
Legendary Stone Boat IV: Azayaka creates a clay boat and rides on it. When using this ability, she may move to any non-diagonal space around her, expending (0.5, rounded up if she ends this action) Qi points to do so. She may repeat this as many times as she likes. This means that anything that requires someone to step on a specific square (traps and things like that) can be activated even while moving in this state. She can also instead spend 3 Qi points in addition to whoever many Qi points her selected ability costs when moving onto a space in order to be able to use an extra action while riding. She can also pick someone up with their consent if she moves to their space, allowing them to move with her for free.
Porcelain Holy Blaze II: Azayaka places a nondescript plate in one of her adjacent spaces. If stepped on or manually activated from afar, it explodes, dealing (SYN+(1+ALVL)d8) damage to every character in a 9-tile square around it. Costs 3 Qi to use. Costs 1 to manually activate. (8 squares around her) Range.
Porcelain Arrow Targets III: Azayaka places more nondescript plates around her, up to two. After placing these down, she may activate them by firing a magical arrow at the closest one, anyone in the path of the arrow taking ((1+ALVL)d4+SYN) damage. Then, the plate bounces the arrow to the closest other plate, and anyone in the arrow's path takes the same amount of damage. This continues until all arrow targets are destroyed. The arrows have infinite range, meaning they can hit a plate from the other side of the map. 2 Range for placing the targets down. Costs 1 Qi to put each arrow target down. Costs 2 Qi to fire the first arrow.
Porcelain Torrent II: Azayaka places a nondescript plate in one of her adjacent squares, specifying a direction as she does so (east, north, southwest, etc.). When stepped on or manually activated, these plates release a torrent of holy water 5 squares in the direction it is pointed, dealing ((1+ALVL)d3+SYN) damage, and deals damage to the target's Qi equal to 20% of the original damage. Costs 3 Qi to use, 1 to manually activate. (8 squares around her) Range.
INFERNO SIGN "SAKURAI-JI'S DESTRUCTION" IV: Azayaka throws a GIGANTIC BURNING TOWER at the target. Deals (SYN*2+(ALVL)d4) damage and 30% of that as Qi damage to all targets in both the targeted square and the 8 squares that surround it. Costs 7 Qi to use. Cooldown 3. 2 Range.
Inventory:
Rotating Illusion Plates: How does she have so many of these things?! Deals 2d4+SYN damage.
Scroll of Clay-Based Transport: ... It's a guide to boating. Halves the Qi cost of Legendary Stone Boat for 2 turns when used. 4 turn cooldown. Free action.
Plate Throwing for Dummies: Learn about the aerodynamics of stone discs! Increases the range of all Porcelain abilities by 1.
Strange Hat: Tis' call'd an eboshi, thou uncultured swine.
