I can't play, due to work keeping me off the grid, but I'll throw a sheet up for the waitlist.
Name: "My parents named me 'Jilosko Thompson', I named myself 'Oklahoma', the university named me 'Doctor', but I've been named 'Bastard' more than once.
Gender: "Male works well enough."
Appearance: "I only venture forth in light, dull tones of synthlinens, under a heavier smartleather jacket, perfect for any weather, from blizzards to heat waves. I'm loathe to go without the latest fashions, but one must make sacrifices for science, and I do not wish to disturb the natives too much. Still, the natural tones pair well with my dark, tanned skin. It's a very rustic look, and works, in an old-fashioned way.
"To complete the look, an authentic pre-Descent pattern wide-brimmed fedora frames my face. It may be stained and deformed, but it's seen a hundred adventures. It's my prize possession, and I'm never without it.
"On my belt, I keep a mag-pistol, top of the line and reliable as the Caretakers that maintain Station 37, and an omni-tool, part grappling hook, part scanner, part 'Swiss Army Knife'. As the Scouts of pre-Descent Earth used to say, 'be prepared'.
"My Augs are all unobtrusive. Planted under the skin, you'd think I was unaugmented, if you didn't know better. I've nothing too specialized, mostly just baseline upgrades. Strength, reaction time, a few memory banks- I keep my Augs simple for reliability's sake. I've run into too many technomancers, machine priests, and cyber-shamans in the Black to risk advanced Augs turning on me."
Background: "You want my story?" He leans back in his chair and doffs his hat, brushing off some dust. How it got dusty on a space station is a question for a different day. "Do you want to hear the story of how I discovered the lost deepship Bright Horizon? The time I made first contact with the Echoes of Asteroid G-459C? The ancient treasure-trove of pre-Descent seeds I kept out of terrorist-Machine hands on Earth?" Satisfied, he settles the hat back on his head. "Or do you want to hear where it all began?"
