Description: Oskar is of average height, around 5'10'', with a muscled build from his profession. He has messy blonde hair, often tousled from hours of wearing the Red Try Jacket Aegis Crimson suit (see below), with deep blue eyes. His face is freckled across the cheek and nose, and he wears functional clothing. He speaks with a faint Polish accent, gone from years of working in space among other extraterrestrials and people from other nations.
Aegis Crimson Armor: The armor covers Oskar's whole body and is coated with red paint to allow him to be easily identifiable by imperiled targets at a distance. The visor can be covered by metal plates, with small side-mounted environment-resistant cameras on the helmet, to prevent damage to the visor by debris. The entire armor folds out from a relatively-light backpack which also folds into the air-tanks and carbon filters that allow the suit to create a breathable atmosphere within.
Personality: Oskar is rather friendly outside of rescue operations, with an open personality and a desire to make friends; indeed, if one was not aware that he was a rescuer, one would mistake Oskar for being laidback and lazy- not that he isn't laidback. However, within rescue operations, he can get rather hot-blooded, and he will go to any length to save a target, even at the cost of his own life. Oskar works hard when necessary, preferring to do so to save time for him to be laidback later. He is also very loyal to his friends, to the extent that he also sticks his neck out for them when it seems almost unnecessary. Years of experience in the rescuing profession have given him an almost older-brotherly outlook on people, as he watches out for his crewmates and ensures they are out of danger.
Background: Oskar was born in what was originally the nation of Poland on Earth, but is now within the Pan-European Confederation comprising the majority of Eurasia. His father was an Earthbound fireman, who taught Oskar the values of his line of work, inspiring the young man to look up to people in his line of work. After he had become an adult, Oskar entered training to become a member of the Aegis Rescue Corps, an elite organisation dedicated to the rescuing of people- human or extraterrestrial- from hazardous environments and situations, from places as mundane as a burning building to as exotic as a rapidly depressurizing spaceship. Showing immense aptitude for the job, Oskar was quickly entered into the Aegis Space Rescue division and was assigned the Aegis Crimson Armor, a special armored suit designed for survival in the harshest environments, allowing the wearer to survive temperature extremes, radiation and even the harshness of space. Such armors were assigned to the others in the division, color-coded to allow easy identification. He served with distinction in the Corps in a variety of successful rescue operations before being assigned by the Corps by order of the Chancellors to watch over the crew, using his survival and rescue experience to aid the crew's mission of exploring dangerous, often hazardous planets for colonisation. He was also assigned with the Aegis Crimson armor, and his kit, to aid his mission.

Alikvun started his life like most Yrasils; with a seed in the ground. His family is a mystery, having planted him and left. He was raised form an early age on a human ship and learned the basics of human behavior, but he never got the nuances of talking to others. Being mostly a plant, he wasn't allowed to cook, or be anywhere near fire of any kind. As the years passed, he wanted to go outside and explore more than anything else. He begged the captain to let him go on his own. After months of constant begging, Alik was released to find his own path.

Backstory: A Mark201ag model manufactured as an automated engineer and generalist(ag) to serve aboard ships while the crew is in cryosleep, X4 is a crew friendly robot. Designed for flexible functionality and specalizing in [X], [Y], and [Z]. X4 was assigned to the ship via protocol 23Ca0010 and quickly came aboard, seeking to be of use. It is eager to update its personnel files and assist the crew on their mission.
Personality Description: Logical to a fault, X4 does not understand organic motivations and can often be heard saying "but it is logical that..." when beings frequently disagree with X4's determinations. It doesn't really bother X4 that organics don't seem to listen to it, though it points its optical sensors at them, fascinated at this unexplained phenomenon. Rather curious, X4's highly adaptive sensors and programming are often scanning and trying to determine the nature of things. X4 keeps its servos to the grindstone, focusing on and taking pride in highly organized work. X4 does not compute emotions and focuses on logic, taking disagreements in stride and suggesting computed solutions.
X4 is possibly immortal as long as it is not destroyed or its programming corrupted. This leads to several outcomes. First, X4's creators were fearful of creating a combat robot, so they didn't. X4 does not want destroyed and so generally avoids combat unless it computes the odds are quite safe for it. X4 is motivated by the directive to increase its functionality by improving and discovering new modules and functions. X4 attempts to be quite agreeable, and though it sometimes fails it does not do so on purpose.
Physical Description:
Not really designed for combat, X4's hardware is composed of 4 section. First is a protected cybernetic core module housing its central processor and self maintenance systems. Second are its 6 slender limbs (housing its grasping appendages / standing utilities) and tool adaptions. Third is X4s highly advanced sensor array. Fourth, is its internal power source and storage assembly.

Personal Information: Esfir is a member of a race of raven-like humanoids from a highly volcanic planet. They have high body temperatures and large wings that allow them to take advantage of the thermals and geysers in their home environments, though they're a bit too heavy to actually achieve true flight without assistance. Still, they're a bit lighter and more fragile than humans due to their bone structure being adapted for flight. They're a relatively young race, having only recently reached the stars in the grand scheme of things, and as a species they seek to make their impression on the universe as a whole.
Esfir herself is . . . somewhat of a strange case. She's a genius when it comes to mechanics and has shown such for a long time, but is frightfully naive at times, and seems to have her mental capacity occupied at all times by thoughts and calculations relating to her machinery. She went to school for engineering (focused on shipbuilding and nuclear tech), and was going to be sent out as a representative of her race, when tragedy struck. She was caught in a machine and lost most of her right arm along with her right foot, and it was thought that her future spacefaring career had ended. Instead, it was taken as an opportunity to display the technical expertise of the Voron people. She was fitted with an advanced set of cybernetic prosthetics, powered by an experimental miniaturized fusion reactor. Her cybernetic arm has multiple attachments, including a hand for fine work, a less precise but stronger hand for general use, and an attachment that acts as both a welding torch and a potent energy cannon for self-defense.
Esfir is a somewhat tall, shapely woman whose most striking features are the pair of wings adorning her back and her cybernetic limbs, whose powerplant is mounted around her chest and back but usually hidden by layers of thick clothing - though the power for her prosthetics produces a fair amount of heat, it's not enough to keep her comfortably warm most of the time. She likes to wear green bottoms and white tops, sometimes with decorative patterns, and a large hair ribbon. Her hair is black and extends a fair distance past her shoulders, and her eyes are a dark red color.

Dom'Chakas are a species of tall tailed humanoids with four arms, known for their incredible physical capabilities and ruthlessness in combat. Originating from the planet Tak'Balat, they never developed space travel, instead being discovered by the Ksura.
A portion of the population chose to join the Ksura as a mercenary force, in exchange for letting the rest of their people live undisturbed on Tak'Balat.

Mental Description :
Proud and warlike, Rev'Raka is a typical 'civilized' Dom'Chaka. He loves to fight and follows closely the Warrior Code of his people.
Strength brings respect, and the honor gained from battles is eternal.
He hates treason, and is extremely loyal to his superiors. Yet if he had to choose between orders and his moral code, he would chose his morals, according to the creed of his people.
Backstory :
Rev'Raka was born among the Ksura, far from the Dom'Chaka homeworld, Tak'Balat. Born from warriors, he himself was born a warrior. As soon as he could stand on two legs, he was trained by his kin to become a strong and proud warrior.
Like the great majority of his fellows, he was enrolled to become a soldier for the Ksura, joining the prestigious Chaka Corps. Composed only of his brothers and sisters, this special force was to be sent on the frontline of every battle, taking control of key points or breaching through the enemy defenses with brute force.
Distinguishing himself for his ruthlessness and loyalty, he was eventually chosen for a new operation : to discover new worlds for the Ksura, and eliminate any opposition in the process.

Personal Information: Kir was born on Gensoria 97 years ago, she was always interested in understanding the many secrets the Quintet made in this universe and was always reading about all secrets that the servants of Kono had made as well as trying out the results. When she was of age she quickly applied to become a servant of Kono, after a few minor discovery's and twenty seven years opportunity was opened to join Mikar Vil a High Priest of Kono, though many decided not to take the opportunity as they didn't want to leave home however Kir was one of the very few who left home to go into the stars in the name of unlocking the Quintet's secrets. During her time with Mikar she worked mainly in operating the scanners and standing by to give any needed chemicals and tools during any experiments. After ten years the Servants of Kono who showed strong promise where brought to Vika where they went through the initiation to become Priests of Kono, after which she stayed with Mikar for thirty more years before being reassigned here.

Hi Question for the GM.
Generally, I want my character to provide mostly engineering / task assistance to help everybody in the game and make it easier. X4 is happy with that. Some questions:
A.) X4 is an engineer. What equipment and skills would it be designed to use to fill tasks. Ship systems engineering? computer science/hacking? Construction/tool/task? Are we going to be mining for minerals, building settlements, or manufacturing? (because I imagine X4 might have program skills for that). Also I guess some light exploration through its scanners etc. How can X4 be of most engineering help?
B.) Surviving? Fearful of designing a combat AI, X4's creators didn't. Maybe his tools could be weapons, but mostly not. Self repair? Hiding? Providing combat bonuses to others? Just wondering how the bot would deal with combat.
C.) Abilities. I know modules are found, but it goes to equipment kinda. Do robots use standard equipment and tools or are they built in? I'm just trying to fit in as best can be done.
I imagine X4 staying operational during the crew's stasis, maintaining the ship faithfully, helping construct camps / explore and building things / scanning / being a great support character.
Sounds fun.
A) Unless you want him to be specialized in one area of engineering, I'll probably just give him some general repairing abilities and tools. But you would be able to do all those things, potentially, yes.
B) Having a character with support-only combat abilities is fine, and that's probably a welcome addition.
C) Robots can use equipment like people (if they have the proper limbs), but they are individual in the fact that they can have tools built into them. Often, this comes with a drawback though.
