Kyle defends. And of course keeps the spider there.

The Youma takes it's bleed damage for this turn and last turn because I forgot that, and it's Hex damage.

(3+6!+5+6 vs. Irr) The lightbulb zaps the Youma again, harder than usual. (3+2-2) 3 damage. 1 Heart Overcharge gained.

"Come on guys, we've almost got it! HAAAAAH!" A short, but inspiring burst of music sounds as Hinata Excites herself further! A beam of light circles around her once before splitting into the colors of the rainbow and lancing out toward the remaining Arachnae as Hinata shouts!

Hinata stirs herself into Excitement, and then attacks the Youma. (3+6!+2+irr. Hit) (1+2-2) She overcharges, but it's still... underwhelming.

"Let's give this a showy finish!"
Miki runs next to Hinata, firing one more hex at it before firing again as she runs at the Arachnae! A confident smirk spreads across Miki's face as she does so.

Another Hex, followed by an attack. (3+1+9) A magically charged gunshot hits the spider. (2-2 min 1) And... dents it a bit. It's somehow still alive. Miki gets power damped on Heart, dropping to 3 Overcharge.

Breathing in and out, Yua raised the deck of cards again and levitated it once more, whirling this one high into the air and bringing it down at an absurdly speed into the divide between the head and thorax of one of the things that made up the abomination, her cufflinks and chest onyx shining brilliantly as she pumped magic into the attack.
Boost and attack the Arachne.

Yua runs forward, drawing her cards. They glowed a bit. A good hand. They jump up, higher than naturally possible, so as to not to hit the others, and throws. A card lands in each of the monster's eyes, even though she hadn't aimed for them. The Youma reels, screeching as it enters it's death throes. Eventually it stops, twitches a couple times, then disappears. Yua gains one Magic Overcharge.

As the monster fades, the world goes wonky. The air seems to have an effect like a heat haze. The teens blink and they're in the gym again. Still in Magical Form.

Hara walks up to them, carrying two dark, small objects on it's back. "Great job. I knew you were ready. The Nightmare is gone now, with the Youma dead, so it should be safe." It rolls the objects off it's back. "Lucky! They dropped 2 Oblivion Seeds."

Kyle blinks at the seeds.
"... I guess I'll try one first?"
He is more busy considering how to turn back at the moment.

[Twinwolf]

"Try how? You just have to collect them until you have 13.

If you focus on changing back, you will. You'll probably be *really* tired though."

"Eh? They look like poppy things rather than collecty things..."
Kyle scratches her head.

[Twinwolf]

"'Poppy?'

In any case, you all should probably decide who gets them."

The American makes motions akin to popping bubble wrap.
"Like bubbles."

[Chevaleresse]

"No, we need to hold onto them so we can make a big amazing with later! I don't need them, though; a true hero isn't selfish!" She puffs herself up proudly at this line.

After a moment, however, she frowns. [glow=pink]"Wait. . . what about that trail of blood we saw?"[/glow]

[Twinwolf]

"It was in the Nightmare. With the Nightmare gone, so is it."

Victor seems to be examining his lightbulb curiously. He taps it. He makes it dispense a small amount of lightning. He's also looking at the AC generator.

Yua flips through her deck and grabs four cards, telekinetically pulls one of her Jokers from the dead monster, and retrieves the other from her coat. "One of each suit, both Jokers. You want to decide, just draw. Hearts, Miki. Diamonds, Victor. Clubs, me. Spades, Anna. Red Joker, Hinata. Black Joker, Kyle," she listed, showing each cards in turn.
Putting the cards together and shuffling them thoroughly, she set them with her magic onto the ground.

Anna draws a card.

"Ummm, how long can we, um, stay in this form?  And, like, what would happen if we, um, put on, like, a wig or something?

And, um, yeah, but....What caused the trail of blood?"

[Powder Miner]

"...potentially the creatures we just defeated with aplomb? But maybe something else, too. After the second card is drawn too and the seeds are accordingly parceled, I'll investigate some."

"So did you pick our cards for a reason? Like certain suits for each person?"
