Yua notices this and catches Kyle's eye, looking at him slightly interrogatively.

Anna looks at Yua, concerned.

"Did you say that magic could... affect our emotions?"

It could. It could also just effect magic itself. Or it could do something else entirely. As I said, it varies on the person, and magic is not a stable or measurable thing.

[TheBiggerFish]

"Hmh.  So, what, like... Powers of thing, could we expect?"

[Twinwolf]

Hara tilts their head in a questioning manner. Clarify?

[TheBiggerFish]

"Well obviously we're not going to end up with a nuke-the-world effect if we've only used a little bit of magic - probably - , sort of thing, so...Like, generally, how can we expect this stuff to go, from least to most?"

[Twinwolf]

That, is actually quite a good question. Assuming you expend a similar amount of magic as the previous fight, they'll probably be minor. In general though I believe that the more buildup you have the more serious the effects.

{"Anna, why do you just assume that the magic plushie who's at best a second hand source understands human emotion. And even if it fucking did, why would it know since this seems to be random?"}

I don't think one can 'run out' of emotions, can they?

"Okay, the premise was flawed, but still.  Is there some point at which the aftereffects start being physical instead of mental?

And what's the worst that could happen?"

[Twinwolf]

Possibly, if the magic builds to a high enough degree. But magic being magic, I can't say for certain that it wouldn't just continue to escalate external or mental effects.

I cannot possibly say what the "worst" that could happen is. It likely depends on the person or the magic that brought them to that point, but I have not been able to observe such an occurrence.
