In an instant, the call's answered.

"Hinata!  Hi!"

[Chevaleresse]

"Hiiiiiiiii Anna-chaaaaan! I just wanted to call and talk a little bit before I went to bed for tonight! How are you?"

"I'm... Good...  You?"

[Chevaleresse]

Hinata yawns audibly before answering. "I'm good, just tired from earlier. Wasn't that so cool though? We were all doing all sorts of crazy stuff!"

[TheBiggerFish]

"There was one thing in particular that was...Amazing.  Yeah.  Just wish everything could be amazing.  I don't want to make my parents mad though..."

Hinata can probably hear Anna shaking (the phone).  The very thought of her parents in a rage terrifies her.

[Chevaleresse]

A rustling sound is heard. "I'm hugging the phone. I'm sure you can hide this from them until you're ready though, since you can just turn back by thinking, right?" Her usual cheer seems to have deflated significantly, though it's hard to tell by tone alone. Anna would know that the subject of her parents was one of the few things Hinata couldn't seem to stay optimistic about.

[TheBiggerFish]

"I'm ready, I've been ready since I knew...They will never be.

...Thanks.  I really appreciate it...

And yeah, I'm doing that already."

Anna sounds not physically tired but emotionally tired, resigned to this for who knows how long.

[Chevaleresse]

"Anna-chan. . ."

[TheBiggerFish]

"...They don't understand, they have their psalms and their prayers and their prejudice and they're too far gone to understand they have a daughter.  I would only get punished if I t-tried....

It hurts.  It hurts so much.  Like my heart is broken anew, every day.  Every time I have to put his clothes on and mask myself afresh.  Sometimes, I just want to run away again, run and run and never look back, but they'll find me and my life will be even worse when they do.  I've built a castle made of glass and hid myself in the highest tower...One good stone's throw would bring it down.  And my parents think they have no sin.  God, how wrong they are...  They sin, they sin every day as they close their eyes, their ears, their hearts against me.

At what point, do you think, would your mother and father stop being your parents?"

[Chevaleresse]

"I don't know, Anna-chan. . . I wouldn't like them very much if they acted like yours. You won't have to stay there for your entire life, though, right? You can move away when you're old enough, isn't that the plan? I would ask mom and dad if you could stay here, but they're both so busy already. . ."

[TheBiggerFish]

"I'm not sure if I can take two more years...."

[Chevaleresse]

"Don't give up hope, Anna! You got this far, you're so close to being out of that place! You can do it!"

"I gave up hope a long time ago, to survive this.

Now this brought it back and it hurts.  It's a good pain, but even that can cause damage.  I'm already...fragile.  Like I could break at a moment's notice.  Sometimes I think about ways to bring this shattering down...An escape.  It would be so easy.  I'm worried about myself, Hinata...I'm worried I'll do something I won't live to regret..."

[Chevaleresse]

"Anna-chan, if you don't stop that right now, I'm going to run across town and climb into your window to hug you until you do. You'll be okay, Anna-chan! Just think of how much your life changed today! It'll get better!"

[TheBiggerFish]

"The things that hurt me, they stayed the same...

I'm not at home right now anyway.  Theoretically I'm at my church's bible study but I slip out and sit in the café across the street and do homework and stuff instead."

Hinata would probably know of Anna's church.
