"Ehh, here, let me look...Or.  Um.  I could like, pick you up if you wanted or something I don't know it was just a suggestion."

Anna looks over the sea of heads and sees a police vehicle outside. The principal- a short man, with grey hair and a longer than average beard- is entering the school with a police officer. The various students are trying to guess at what's happening. Some think that there might have been something illegal in a locker. Others think that a crime might have happened near the school. A third posits that it might be related to the disappearances.

The ones on the roof of course can't see or hear all this, but if they were to look over the roof on that side they'd be able to see the police car.

"Police?

...Let's get in line..."

Anna seems to almost be scrunching up.

"Police? That's weird, there aren't any reasons for the police to show up. Are there?" Still, the power of her growling stomach seems to have overwhelmed the power of her curiosity for a moment, as she starts to drift toward the line as Anna suggested.

"I wouldn't know...I didn't do anything..."

Anna seems to have...Unpleasant associations tied to police.

Kyle lays down the final card, a six, and checks. He briefly stands and looks over the barrier on the roof curiously before shrugging and sitting back down.

Yua thinks for a moment, before putting down a raise of 50. She then glances over when she sees him looking away.
"What are you looking at?"

Kyle shrugs as he calls and sets his cards face down in preparation to turn them over.
"The principal is leading a cop inside. Nothing major."
Kyle takes another bite of his food in the meantime.

"I suppose we should hope they don't happen come up here for whatever reason and think this is something it isn't."
She sets her own cards face down.

"I'm sure I have enough of the gossip mill on my side that I could distract them first. Speaking of, you hear about what the kendo captain did over the weekend?"

She flips up her cards -- two pair.
"No, I have not."

Kyle flips his cards, pair of twos.
"Heard that he was near one of the recent disappearances."

[Powder Miner]

"He was? What did he have to say about it?"
She casually raked in the pot, leaving them at 1350 to 650.

Kyle shrugs as he takes the cards in for the next round.
"I don't know. Probably something racist."
