Peasant is taken by a fey mood!
« on: January 30, 2008, 01:33:00 pm »

A new peasant I just got who was barly starting his first engraving job went fey. His best and only skill is dabbling engraver. Taking bets on what he makes!

-edit- ooooh he's claimed a craftdwarfs workshop! what a twist!
-edit- He took some tetrahedrite (what ever that is)
And giant cave spider silk cloth..
And...and..thats all. hm. It better be a sword or im killing him off and selling his creation.

Door encircled with bands of silk...

It's not going to be a sword, and it'll probably only be worth a couple thousand (one of my miners made something similar with 3 items and it was only worth 6k), so you may as well keep your new legendary engraver :P They're not too useful, but at least they're fast at smoothing stone.

3. They're Scottish.

He's legendary in the only skill he had. Engraving. I locked him in a big 14 x 10 room and am having him engrave every thing. most of what he engraves are pictures of him and his beloved way-more-valuble-than-it-seems-it-should-be amulet

How much is it worth? I just had a planter finish a piccalo worth 60,000. Sadly he was possessed so he didn't get a skill upgrade, but it should boost my immigration next wave. Btw, anyone else notice increase in artifact creation since earlier versions? I have 8 and I'm just starting year 5, which is about double my previous records.

Speaking of Fey Moods, I just had a random Weaponsmith claim a workshop and promptly take three Aluminum bars. I'll edit when he finishes.

Ho.. Holy shit, he made:

Value: 129000

It's not much but apparently crafting weapons from Aluminum isn't possible without  modding the Raws, and considering that I now have a legendary Weaponsmith...

;_; all I ever get are legendary leather workers or legendary engravers.

I love legendary engravers. =D

Normally, I keep a lot of engravers around, but with legendary engravers I only need a handful, allowing me to give my engravers much more useful jobs. Like masons.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

I got a legendary armorsmith after he made an artifact bronze shield (I think it was bronze, don't remember).  Perfect mood, eh?

Only problem was that fort was utterly useless.  I had to kick out of it.  I tried flooding it, but that was taking too long so I just up and left.  Coming back in adventure mode, I found that it still hadn't flooded, even after all that time.
