I've changed a tiny bit of the combat mechanics. I split turns into two phases. Movement and action. When one side has a movement phase, the other has an action page. Actions are resolved before movement. Like Tom Clancy's Endwar. That's all, the base stats are the same.

So it goes: Player Movement -> Enemy Action -> Player Action -> Enemy Movement? Or what?
Consider it as this: One side (players or the enemy) attacks, then the other side moves. End of turn. Next turn, the team which was attacked (and subsequently moved) gets to attack from their new position at the enemy mechs before they then move.


Patch has been applied and I'm thinking of doing something to buff the Hamkar (USEC, PMs)

Currently filling out the app. Trying to decide between a sort of engineer type, who'd usually end up being a somewhat frustrated/exhausted voice of reason, or someone who started as an Astolfo expy.

Do the Hamkar Artillery Mechs have an increased accuracy buff and an Evasion Debuff?

A vaguely celtic themed pilot in a light mech.

I do have questions though - can I take 2 top weapons, and if so, can I fire them in the same turn? If so, what benefit does taking a 2-slot weapon give?

I'm sure you can equip as many weapons as you have slots, but you can fire with only one weapon a turn, which leads to point three...

2-slot weapons are better if you can fit them-they are superior to the single slot weapons in most ways, tho slightly less accurate-because you can only fire one. If you play the scout mech, it's to your advantage.

Of course, you could go 60mm cannons/spear rockets, but it's not going to be useful-the 100mm is totally better than the cannon (minus 5% accuracy), while the rockets are completely outmoded-even if you wanted the rockets for range 1 attacks, plain melee would be better. You would only go this route if you really valued accuracy, like to a ridiculous degree.

Also, it gets no accuracy buff directly, but turret weapons have very high base accuracy baked in.
