Hey, what's the difference between the Ishim-D and Ishim-A? There doesn't seem to be much except for D having 50 more armor and 10 more Mobility. Or do the slots actually effect the power of the weapon?
Ishim-A has 1 top slot and 1 front slot while the Ishim-D has 1 1 top slot and 1 arm slot

Arm slot can mount more powerful weaponry than a top slot, so the Ishim-D

Damn. Was going to use Iris from the old RP, but eh. I was thinking of going for a different character type anyway.

Because someone wasn't paying attention. :v

The Ishim-A has a Front slot instead of an Arm slot, compared to the Ishim-D. The weapons that go into a Front slot are supposed to be more powerful than those that go in an Arm slot. Though apparently I didn't balance the different weapons too well, because the differences between the weapons aren't that large. Uh... Yeah.

Is it too late to make a balance patch to things, Insanegame27?

Yes. Hence why I mentioned that he wasn't paying attention. The As are more attacky, at the expense of armour and dodging. Hope that that clarifies things for you.

Also did you alter the combat mechanics in the game? Reading over it again, it doesn't quite match up with what I had before so I thought that I'd check.

If the arm weapons are stronger than the front weapons, then the D mechs are just straight out superior to the A mechs. Is there any reason to take the A-mechs over the D-mechs? As is, it kind of seems like there really is nothing that the A-Mech can do better than the D.

Sure, PM it to me.
I've changed a tiny bit of the combat mechanics. I split turns into two phases. Movement and action. When one side has a movement phase, the other has an action page. Actions are resolved before movement. Like Tom Clancy's Endwar. That's all, the base stats are the same.
