Made some edits to Joachim's sheet to improve it. I also changed his mech and weapons appropriately.

Elfcolabs sheet is a very good example of what you should be aiming for. It's much better than mine. :P

He made a concrete character design with a lot of room for growth, and he didn't have to write a biography-he summarized Joachim perfectly and succinctly. You can imagine this character in your mind easily, and how he's going to fit into your game. That's going to stick with any GM, and make it more likely he'll get noticed above the rest.

Your character just needs some flair, some color-something to bring him to life. I'll be honest man, your char is sort of boring right now, hard to notice. 'He's very quiet. When they told him to go to the war, he went'

Okay, just alone that's not likely going to catch the GM's attention. Go into details-about his personality (some of us seem to linking our stat choices to our backgrounds, which is a good idea IMO), why he joined the war, what he's done so far.

It goes without saying, for the best characters, these details should come easy to you. Your should enjoy writing about them-because, best case, you're going to be writing as this character for literally months to come.

Tldr-If you don't enjoy putting creative effort into your sheet, which is a few paragraphs long-how well can the GM expect you to enjoy his game a month from now?

Thank you for pointing it out. I didn't add much fluff to it, because I am terrible at making realistic and believable characters. But, I have added an extra spoiler with an in depth character description/background.

There will definitely be new weapons and mechs and weapon slots. There will be minimal skill or stat gain (nonlinear). Transferring to a new mech takes time to get used to and gives a debuff for a certain number of encounters, the debuff getting less and less until you're back to what you were before.
