For some reason one of my pumps where missing. When I looked at the bottom of the river where I pumped water I saw alot of human bones and the parts of my pump. So did the human got suck into the pump and destroyed it?

Either that or you have some pesky lizardmen or other river-dwelling creatures that have made your pump into their nest, and the human was their most recent victim.
