Rexmundi's XCOM 2 play along thingy

Hi all! So I'd like to start a new game of XCOM 2, and to help me not give up, I'm going to play along with you all on here, through soldier sign ups (I can import any you make) and screenshots and things. Later tonight I'll get started with a first post, and this thread I warn WILL HAVE SPOILERS as in it'll spoil things without warning so really, after this post just stop reading if you worry.

As for the game! I have modded a handful of things. I'll post a full mod list when i load up the game later, but for now most importantly is Grimy's loot mod, along with his highlander mod's roulette soldiers. I have been enjoying playing with 100% everyone who ranks up once is one. The downside is I can't use the school to train people, but oh well. The loot mod on the other hand adds random loot weapons and items and armour. Because all items are in some way better then standard crap, I'm going to have it distributed in a more fair method besides best person gets it. That's no fun! So instead we'll have a loot turn order. First person gets first piece of loot. If you can't use it due to reasons, it goes to the next and you get the next one you can use.

So, uhh. Post if you want a soldier and bay12com 2, extra modded edition, will commence. And yes I'm using a few mod outfit packs, if you know of the mod item you want your guy wearing, tell me, or just be vague and I'll try. Also all DLC will be in use

Mods worth noting list:
Grimy's random loot weapons with extras for armour/secondaries
Able to snag loot remotely with a gremlin
Better advent AI with new aliens
DLC
Bleed out tweaks so soldiers are more likely to rather then outright die. also random number of turns
true concealment

    Reserving a spot on the roster, but I think I will change my usual tactics and go combat Specialist, rather than Sharpshooter.
     Once you get going, I'll outline the customising options.

The Giant Moles in the caverns of my current fort breed like crazy, even while regularly being decimated by other beasts entering them...

Cool, first in then. For soldiers customized in game, I'm going to list who does what and let people pick. Any primary can end up with any secondary. So either grab a rook and try your luck or pick someone pre leveled some.
Thinking I'm going to start soon, if anyone wants to claim a rooky for gatecrasher?

I found a mod that lets you, but unless someone requests it was going to just go into gatecrasher with rookies and the survivers will be the starting roulette team. And I think I got weird hair, at least withe the 'mad max' dlc

I didn't notice that was a thing, will give said pack a listen too.
I'm going to begin in a few, start grabbing screenshots and what not of the first mission. Skipping the prestart customizing, I'll make each person closest to waht people want them, and make them them after.

Haha, just yesterday I thought that the JA2 voices could be great for XCOM2, good to know someone else thought so too and could even implement them.

Then I change my character to a male one with the voice of Kevin 'Maddog' Cameron from Wave3.

Ok, found time, starting up the first mission now. Let's do this! I'll update this post when it's done
EDIT: Veteran, but better advant full mod, also no grenade or ability snapping works for them too. I'm leaving the alien hunters mission in as I've still not actually played it myself somehow
EDIT2:I forgot, starwars helms. I got a clone trooper in full white gear to start, ha. Also ben stiller..
EDIT3:did I say them? uhh. Never heard of those guys, see, we have 4 new rookies (ok so I already got wiped..)

'helm' here pulled a cannon mg, and a grenade launcher for now, nothing much special yet.
The gal on the other hand pulls.. again normal, an assault rifle and gremlin. Still the drone will be useful, and thank that someone can be a medic part time

     Same here.  Always prefer to see the picture with the caption, otherwise you end up reading ahead while waiting for the pictures to load in another tab.
