The Jedi and Sith have limited Force abilities. They're twice as fast as normal, can detect creatures through walls and Force push non-Force wielders, and NPC members have automatic Sword and Dodge skill.
To spawn with a lightsaber, start in a Jedi or Sith civ and buy one. Lightsabers use Sword skill, which Jedi and Sith characters see as Knight and Warrior respectively.
More powerful or naturally armored races such as Jedi, Mandalorians, or stormtroopers are more difficult to recruit. This is because they have natural combat skills.
While the droids under "Intelligent Wilderness Creatures" are available for play, they aren't intended for it as much as the main races. You may encounter odd limitations or other problems.
If you are set on fire by a Mandalorian or other flamethrower-wielding creature, try removing any burning articles of clothing and discarding them. Once your flesh starts to burn, you are likely doomed unless it is raining or another water source is readily available.
The accuracy of natural abilities that involve shooting projectiles is controlled by the Thrower skill.
The variant castes of Alien, Jedi, Sith, Rebel, and Pirate are accessed through the same part of character creation that normally chooses gender.
Lightsaber blows can be blocked by armor, but stabbing instead of slashing usually gets through.
Sith bandit gangs are extremely dangerous.
When you purchase droids from a merchant, you can release them from their cages by attaching a lever to the cage.
Tuskens are playable, but can't speak normally.
Active seasons for civs are as follows:

Summer:Battle droids, Vong, Geonosis.

There's a bit of an issue with crashing on large worlds with long histories. That may mostly be my computer, I'll try to figure out what's causing it.
In some cases, viewing the description or Legends entry of a
rakghoul can crash the game. They have been removed until I can fix them.
Geonosian soldiers from their main civs and Mandalorians have had their ability to fly disabled for now, due to the pathfinding problems.
