A time-travelling child and her oddball family.
« on: May 29, 2016, 07:50:14 am »

First of all, let me open with this picture.

I just got a migrant wave. I like to take a peek at the thoughts screen of my migrants, just to see what they're like or if there's anything interesting. There was a dwarf (Iton) with two daughters, and no wife. Curious, I thought. His first daughter followed behind, a girl of 4 years. Still, only daddy and the gods on her relationship menu. No sign of mum, or sis.

Then sister walks in. No mum. No sister listed. To top it all off, she was born in the future. Currently she is -224 days old, which is the first I've heard of this. Version is 0.43.02, and I saved and closed my game immediately after seeing this, so I can upload the save if anyone's interested.

Has anyone seen this before? This is frankly quite astonishing. My laptop has been running kind of poorly lately, but I didn't think it was going to pop out one of ... whatever that is.

This seems to crop up from time to time. One reason is that she's a werewolf (they get messed up ages). But it happens with non-were's too.
What does Legends say about her and her family?

Yes, it's known that migrant ages are messed up a bit at times. That corrects itself eventually, I think on the turn of the year.

Curioser and curioser.
Iton Claspmeet (dad) was born in 42, of unknown parentage. His eldest daughter (Inod Theaterwebs) was born in the year 121 (which would make her 6 or 7 when she arrives at the fort, not 4.) and his youngest daughter (Endok Hoarytown) was born in the year 119. His eldest daughter is younger than his youngest daughter.

Inod Theaterwebs lists only her mother, as 'the identity of her mother has been lost to time.' The same occurs on Endok's page.

What is wrong with this family?

EDIT: Going back to fort mode -
Inod, eldest daughter of this timelord, was born in the year 124 according to fortress mode.
As we know, Endok was born in 128 according to fortress mode. Endok has been informally dubbed a time wizard and will be moved to appropriate observation chambers.
