Im going to quarry a HUGE pit into the ground. Store the stone on any spare ground left around the edges, then put a ramp down to the bottom.

Then im going to build a fully enclosed castle inside the pit. Once it is complete i will flood the pit with water. Good luck sieging me! I think your gonna have to wait till someone invents depth charges!

Oh, and double points if the fortress is made of ice!
