After taking a brief moment to Ponder, You decide to answer the Lost Traveler's Cry. You reach out and Touch him with Your Power, the Traveler drops his Dagger in surprise at the sudden, extremely painful awakening of Power, and he collapses into a fetal position. All around him the air crackles with Divine and Arcane Energy, the wolves stand back, now uncertain of their Prey. The Traveler overcomes his initial shock and stands up, filled with Rage, and Hurls several bolts of Lightning from his Fingertips, incinerating two of the larger wolves and the rest, stricken with Fear, sprint away as quickly as their legs can carry them. His hands still smoking, the Traveler falls to his knees and stares at his palms in utter disbelief. You're certain that he's somewhat traumatized and could use an explanation, You conclude that tattooing his forehead might not be the best course of action for the moment.

You reach out to the mind of the Traveler and speak, time seems to still as You weave a tale of truly epic proportions, an hours-long story about ancient heroes, powerful abominations, and the true meaning of Faith, more specifically, Faith in Morge, Harbinger of Monsters, Forger of Heroes, and Weaver of Legendary Tales. Yet not a moment has passed beyond his thoughts.

Speaking directly to a Mortal that does not worship any God costs 5 Power speaking to a Mortal that Worships another God costs 10 Power, or more, depending on the level of their Faith in that other God. For example, a Superstitious Peasant would only cost 10 Power to Speak to, but speaking to a Fanatical Arch-Priest could cost Hundreds of Power. Speaking to a Mortal who already Worships You, however, is completely Free.

As soon as You have finished Your Tale, the awe-stricken Mortal looks skyward, his tear-filled eyes are filled with a new, passionate Faith. When he Speaks, the Traveler's Voice is laden with a Zealous Desire to Please his new God, and You feel a kindred link to his very Soul. The amount of Power a God can gain from a Mortal's Worship depends on two things. His Power, and his Faith, in that order. For Example, the Worship from a Legendary, but Dubiously Faithful Wizard's Soul would be worth more than the Worship of a Fanatical Peasant. Fanatical Followers are very rare, and they have the Highest amount of Faith a Mortal can have towards a God. Fanatics aren't very tolerant of other Gods, but they will follow their Patron God to Death and Beyond.
