It's possible to create a creature only playable via adventure mod.
Then, you simply retire the creature in the prison-fort

You can't make dwarves try to free it.  You can make them go berserk though.

The tricky part is coming up with a system where you can't just lock it away and ignore it.  Perhaps if it generates a psychic effect that occasionally causes a random dwarf to go berserk unless you serve it in some way.  Milk it?  Feed it living victims?  Allow it to suck blood?

I was thinking that a migrant would be drawn to the fort, because destiny. Then we undertake some ritual, and the poor dwarf discovers that he has been possesed by the old god. Then he dies, and his arms turn into tantacles, grows and splits into more tentacles, his eyes turn into jaws, which multiply across his face, his original mouth grows into a terrifying toothy grin, and then... The dwarf is gone. His head grows, and melts into his body. All that is left, is [spoiler]. And if you are smrt, you will run.
He will send his minions, the [spoilers], to free it from it's prison. Then... The world will fall. But... We will not fall. We will stand as the eternal guardians of our world. We. Will. Prevail.
