I happen to disagree about it not combining, but I'd also rather not do dieselpunk or steampunk for this

I also rather like the possibility of basic AI, and nanotech. The latter would probably form the basis of advanced construction, field repairs,  and 'energy shields'. Missiles being much shorter ranged/less effective due to advanced countermeasures, ECW, and the advent of fairly reliable railguns and coilguns, besides ETC weapons. Lasers do indeed require a lot of energy, and plasma is fairly far off. VTOL can be useful but is by no means a necessity, with helicopters and all, though an advanced version of the Osprey chassis that overcomes it's current limitations by making it so the whole craft basically shifts orientation rather than just the wings might be widespread though.

I already have my weapon and armor classification systems. All I need is a vehicle and/or robot one.

They aren't really the same, though. Cyberpunk is the originator of the suffix usage in that sense, and it is not the same as either of those. There are some significant differences in functionality, and second, aesthetics very much does matter in a game. Warfare or no.

I kinda need steampunk for my backstory to make sense, besides nuclear power is steam power, and voltite is basically the ultimate form of steam power so yeah....

Well, it's not to say that fusion power is compact, it's just that there are alternative systems are available, like fuel cells, for powering vehicles and such.

Throughout the Wastelands of Technitus you most likely would most likly hear of the Metalic overgod... and as most natives know he is always watching through the assorted "Non functional" Camras maintained by the Cult of Iron...
There is always debate within the cult of Iron on whether the Metalic God is a virus, or an AI, but all know he controls most if not all the devices in the country...
Technitus is a hard heavily irradiated wasteland do to many wars faught around it's area, and most of it's harder inhabitants bear Cybernetic Attachments of one type or another...
