The younger divine entities are trying to create a tower filled with monsters, as a test. Of course, we know it only takes one foolish creation to destroy everything, and the monsters will ravage this world unchecked while we sleep.

another way of keeping the challenge contained is simple... we put up walls higher then the sky around the area or otherwise section the area off... thus if the monsters are unleashed they can't go anywhere... and the burden of what to do about them lays on the mortals till' we awaken once more...
