The selected pokeball is deposited out from the top of the case. Now would be the time to name it if Kendra wanted to.

Kendra lets Mudkip out and bends down near them. "Hey, little guy! Or girl, I'm not sure. Let's just say guy for now, yeah? Anyway, what to name you..." She says, thinking.
