After some fiddling (by which I mean pressing the power button) the group manages to turn on the pokedexes. After a few seconds of loading there's a camera click as they automatically take a picture of your faces and begin loading your trainer profile. As this is happening Birch manages to turn on the case leading to holograms of three pokemon to appear over it. Anyone with some knowledge of pokemon would know that they're the typical starters in this region: Mudkip, Treeko, and Torchic.

"Just... just do it outside. And get a referee. The pokemon center is the next town over and the pokemon on the route are really vicious."

Fe've would remember the time her dad was chased up a tree by a zigzagoon at that comment.
