Something I wanted to announce but I was busy !
-Trait limit is removed
-Size slots are free or cheaper
-More traits is costlier
Sorry to everyone who created creatures, but I realized the current traits slot limit is far too excessive.
So there is a mechanic change.
Depending on the Size, the creature will have "Initial Traits". An Initial Trait is cheaper than an Added Trait.
Adding additional traits beyond the "Initial Traits" is costlier by 10% of Base Cost per Added Traits before.
So 1st Added adds 10% of Base.
2nd adds 20%,
3rd 30% and so on.
Simple example :
Medium Creature named Fire-breathing Winged Rabbit : [2 Free Slots]
Traits:
[Initial]-Breath Fire : Lesser Magical Trait / Cost: +(0.5 - 0.2)*Base=0.3*Base
[Initial]-Winged : Normal Trait / Cost: +(0.2 - 0.2)*Base=0
[Added]-Hard Fur : Normal Trait / Cost: +(0.2+0.1)*Base=0.3*Base
[Added]-Night Vision : Normal Trait / Cost: +(0.2+0.2)*Base=0.4*Base
10% of Base cost for each added Trait. A Cost can't be negative.
Create a Day/Night Cycle the night cycle will begin when a tree at the top of the world shines a bright white turning the sky dark and the tree providing the light in the night sky.
Creating a Day/Night Cycle is not an easy task. As an effect that will constantly affect a large region constantly, don't expect it to be easy.
What would Day or Night be in this World ?Currently, there is no Day or Night, as the land constantly basks in the golden light of the sky. The Sky constantly emits "Light Element".
Night would be a period where the sky appear black. So that would mean the air is filled with "Darkness Element".
Day would be a period where the sky is normal. So filled with "Light Element".
First a small notion : in this world, luminosity depends on the Light/Darkness Elements ratio.
There are two possible ways I thought of for you to simulate Night :
1) Absorb all the Light emitted by the Sky, which will naturally be replaced by Darkness Element.
2) Emit so much Darkness Element that Light Element becomes inferior.
3) Block the Light emitted by the Sky for a temporary period.
Both 1) and 2) can be combined of course, but they would require enormous amounts of power. The World is immense, only Saraab has a grasp of how much it is.
3) is a more economical solution, as a veil becoming black during Night and transparent during Day could be created to block the Sky.
Whichever way you choose, I am affirmative you won't be able to create a Day/Night Cycle for the whole World.
Food for thought, good luck on your creations !
