Something I wanted to announce but I was busy !

Spoiler: Summary (click to show/hide)
Sorry to everyone who created creatures, but I realized the current traits slot limit is far too excessive.

So there is a mechanic change.
Depending on the Size, the creature will have "Initial Traits". An Initial Trait is cheaper than an Added Trait.
Adding additional traits beyond the "Initial Traits" is costlier by 10% of Base Cost per Added Traits before.
So 1st Added adds 10% of Base.
2nd adds 20%,
3rd 30% and so on.

Simple example :

Medium Creature named Fire-breathing Winged Rabbit : [2 Free Slots]
Traits:
[Initial]-Breath Fire : Lesser Magical Trait / Cost: +(0.5 - 0.2)*Base=0.3*Base
[Initial]-Winged : Normal Trait / Cost: +(0.2 - 0.2)*Base=0
[Added]-Hard Fur : Normal Trait / Cost: +(0.2+0.1)*Base=0.3*Base
[Added]-Night Vision : Normal Trait / Cost: +(0.2+0.2)*Base=0.4*Base

10% of Base cost for each added Trait. A Cost can't be negative.

Create a Day/Night Cycle the night cycle will begin when a tree at the top of the world shines a bright white turning the sky dark and the tree providing the light in the night sky.
Creating a Day/Night Cycle is not an easy task. As an effect that will constantly affect a large region constantly, don't expect it to be easy.

What would Day or Night be in this World ?

Currently, there is no Day or Night, as the land constantly basks in the golden light of the sky. The Sky constantly emits "Light Element".

Night would be a period where the sky appear black. So that would mean the air is filled with "Darkness Element".
Day would be a period where the sky is normal. So filled with "Light Element".

First a small notion : in this world, luminosity depends on the Light/Darkness Elements ratio.

There are two possible ways I thought of for you to simulate Night :
1) Absorb all the Light emitted by the Sky, which will naturally be replaced by Darkness Element.
2) Emit so much Darkness Element that Light Element becomes inferior.
3) Block the Light emitted by the Sky for a temporary period.

Both 1) and 2) can be combined of course, but they would require enormous amounts of power. The World is immense, only Saraab has a grasp of how much it is.
3) is a more economical solution, as a veil becoming black during Night and transparent during Day could be created to block the Sky.

Whichever way you choose, I am affirmative you won't be able to create a Day/Night Cycle for the whole World.

Food for thought, good luck on your creations ! :)

Kahn's actions don't stop baffling me :/

Despite having an Offense and Destruction specialization, she always resort to fleeing when attacked, even when she has an overwhelming advantage.

it was beyond fair. We both had the same stats, and you actually had a slight advantage levelwise. I just had RNG on my side in more ways than one.

Energy reserve matters a lot in god fights, as the more you input Energy into an attack, the more devastating will be the effects.

If there is an overwhelming Energy difference between an attack and a defense, the RNG will mainly help me to determine how screwed is the defender.
Of course, there are the cases of a [1]>[1] Attack versus a [6]>[6] defense.

If Kahn had unleashed all her Energy, or turned her Ether into Energy to blast Innanis, the odds would have heavily shifted toward Kahn, even with an RNG disadvantage.

Oh, and something important.

During battle, I roll to determine the effectiveness of the attack / defense. So that means generally, all offensive and defensive maneuvers automatically connect. I assume that gods have a good aim.

Of course, depending on the situation, there may be a roll to determine if the attack connect.

Some examples of roll interpretation.

Attack:
1: Damage heavily reduced or nullified if weak attack
>[1-3]: Damage even more reduced, may hurt user
>[4-6]: Great damage reduction to enemy attack [maybe the attack failed because it stopped an enemy attack for example]
2: Damage reduced
3: Damage normal
4: Damage amplified
5: Damage amplified a lot
6: Damage amplified
>[1-3]: User hurt or taking additional damages
>[4-6]: Damage even more amplified

Defense:
1: Damage amplified a lot
>[1-3]: Even more amplified
>[4-6]: Enemy takes more damage or will take more damage
2: Damage normal
3: Damage slightly reduced
4: Damage reduced
5: Damage greatly reduced
6: Damage reduced
>[1-3]: Damage inflicted reduced or future damage taken increased
>[4-6]: Damage even more reduced

So it's merely an energy race? (Baring 1s and 6s of course).

If we are going pure classic battle yes :P

But in practice, there are many kind of attacks with different effects, and the situation of the battle is very important in result interpretation.

You can get wounded, afflicted by fever, kicked in the nuts, tickled, etc...

Everything is allowed, and I like rewarding creativity/appropriate actions in-situation.

You probably forgot to roll for Creep Field(s), Nakéen.

Science is always important. But it needs more flaming cats. Can't we build bridge-based catapults and fling flaming cats at the dust and goo?

It's time for the ATHATH Death Counter to increase once more in celebration for the end of the world.
