I've known about this for a while, don't actually know how I'm going to fix it. :-\

Thanks for your feedback, it's nicely detailed.
I don't know the details of your code but perhaps this thread could help get you started in the right direction: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/709877/how-to-make-2d-sprite-character-stop-jittering-whe.html

No problem!

For certain I can say that the character feels slidey, like a little bit of friction/momentum would go a long way.

As an entry level indie your game is par for the course, but I still intend to compare to AA games.

Also, your game uses WAY too many buttons.
Even my hardest games still stick to one hand on the mouse and one hand on the keyboard.
Double <^> is confusing.

All AA modern games are designed around their control scheme.

Get a more skilled programmer than you to make some basic shaders.
No seriously you are just shy of incredible quality in your game.

More dumps:

The escape key does nothing, I'm looking for a simple and easy to remember way to turn off the game.

A button that reveals keybindings when held. GUI text in unity is relatively simple to make.

'Wasd moves your character' ect

I'm avoiding talking about changing the characters movements and attacks a lot because I like the way you are going with it.

It's not gonna be my favorite game but maybe someone else's?

You tell me now? I've just whipped up a mouse-controlled system, I'll get some people to check it out before making any further decisions. I personally like the arrow keys but if people would prefer a mouse based attack it's easy enough to add.

I doubt it'll be anyone's favourite game but I appreciate the sentiment.
Whoa what I mean I wouldn't change the 'pressured' part of the game. Alot of making the controls feel nicer means making the game easier, you know.

and I mean if I was someone looking for this type of game I might be impressed.

A little indie spark goes a long way.

And a tip for your artist: You need at least three frames. The main character looks remarkably good despite this, but you still need at least three frames.
An odd number of frames are standard.

You might look into making an animator in Unity, if you haven't already. They're not too complicated its just a bit hard to find all the facts in one go.

Hm. I like the new attack style thing.

FoU has some twisted role ideas. Screw second-guessing this mechanical garbage spaghetti, I'm basing everything on reads and visible daytime behaviour.

Would you like to play a game of Mafia? The subforum is always open to new players.
