This seems like a pretty interesting game. Anyway, just a suggestion for wanting to keep the player moving. Another way could be to simply give diminishing rewards for grinding enemies for too long, have lessened experience gained or none at all after a while. After all, slaying 10,000 rats or bats or whatever does not a skilled warrior make, only a ninja pest exterminator.

This seems good to me. Although, I must say that getting special proficiencies against certain enemies for killing loads of them sounds like a good idea.

FoU has some twisted role ideas. Screw second-guessing this mechanical garbage spaghetti, I'm basing everything on reads and visible daytime behaviour.

Would you like to play a game of Mafia? The subforum is always open to new players.

Well then.

I'll be keeping an eye on this for now.

I'll give it a try when I have access to my laptop.

Attacking feels terrible. I really dislike having to wait so long for my attacks to come out. My suggestion would be to keep the charge attack and make it do more damage, and have tapping the arrow keys instantly attack but for scratch damage, and the player can use that as a way to keep enemies at bay.

Invincibility frames after being hit would be appreciated so that I can have a chance to disengage after making a mistake. Either that, or give enemy attacks a cooldown and a visual representation. As it is, if I walk into an enemy my health instantly drops to zero and I have no chance to react. Or you might make attacks knock the player back to keep them from getting stuck inside an enemy and killed.

If you hold the movement keys while walking into a wall, there is some ugly juddering that happens.

Either don't have the weapon icon appear when pressing an attack key and not holding a weapon, or add some kind of punch attack when you're unarmed.
