Speaking of lowest intelligence, that reminds me of the fact that it's probably your first time in prison. Don't worry, I can give you some tips, having spent some time in a few myself. The best way to make friends here is to drop the soap during shower time. Try it, I'm sure you'll love making friends like that!

Between the glut of Nuclear War, Zombie Virus and Environmental Disaster, the "No Power" setting is rarely explored but is a fun possibility nonetheless. Consider me interested.

Will all the graphics look like that? If so, fuck yeah!

If not, I still really like it.

I believe that is just a template used to create characters, I've seen it before. The game most likely won't look like that beyond it, but who knows, maybe OP has some wicked drawing skills.

Yeah, I was just going to have you all set up your characters with the innawoods browser, and upload them here, that way I could keep track of items. My drawing skills are not honestly all that impressive In all honesty.

Okay, well if you four are interested, https://innawoods.net/ , make a character on there, keep the amount of equipment reasonable, for example don't be toting around rocket launchers and the like.
It might need you to run scripts.
Also...

When the power grid goes out, does that mean that everything hooked up to it is down, or literally every electrical device is usual? If it's the latter, I need to get rid of my character's cell phone, GPS, Portable Heater, etc.

Are there options for your character beyond being various kinds of white dude?

Yes, just put it in the description of your character, innawoods is just to get an idea of what your load out is.

As for the electrical devices, most will be down, but a portable heater that uses say, propane would work.
Even if the cell phone or GPS would work, it would not be able to operate because the structures that would make them work, the satellites the towers etc, would be down.

That is logical. I will make my adjustments.

What about battery powered devices like a flashlight or watch?

From what I have read, batteries should still work, but items with electrical circuitry will be damaged. A flashlight might work, if it creates what is called a Faraday cage, which protects somethings from emp burst. A watch that is mechanical will work, well, like clockwork.
