The First Luxling was linked to the Ancestor.

But it died, and you remade the Luxlings using its flesh. It was never a resurrection, you did create a new species.

Dumping things around.

-Resurrecting a mortal :
Possible in a way. Resurrecting a mortal consists in creating an empty soul with your Ether and filling it with the "Soul Informations" you possess from when it died. So a God can't resurrect a mortal whose "Soul Information" he doesn't possess.

For example:
-Skyborns "Soul Information" goes to Saraab upon death. So only Saraab can resurrect Skyborns. And if a God "eats" the soul of a specific Skyborn, Saraab won't be able to resurrect it.

-Eating a "Soul" :
As said in the IC, when a being dies, its Soul is broken into Ether and Information, and both are absorbed by God(s) and the World.
So if a god "consumes" a being, its soul will fully be absorbed by the god. So the Ether and Information will only go to him.

Some insight :

-The World is like a hollow sphere with the Sun/Moon in the center. You are currently living on the interior face of the sphere. The Earth Mover reached the exterior face. Between the two faces, there is a layer of special Ether here to protect the inner sphere.

-The "Golden Sky" is yet another layer of special Ether, to protect the whole sphere.

-There is a layer of Ether protecting the World from "Dimensional Intrusion" from non-Ether beings.

-Ether is highly toxic to the Cosmic Thing whose name I have not yet revealed.
