I have a need... The need for significant rate of change of position relative to the frame of reference!
A group of excitement-seeking dwarves (their ambitions fueled by ☼Top Shoots☼ engraving of year 86) decided to break the humdrum of Mountainhome, and start a dynamic fortress on their own! A place, where breath is taken away by the fast pace of life!Quickquickness the Quick Quick-Quicknesses of Quickness
The goals of this succession game are to:
1. Promote FPS-preserving playing style for Dwarf Fortress.
2. Raise DFhack awareness and its great time-saving capabilities.
3. Raise AutoHotKey awareness and its great time-saving capabilities.
4. Increase prestige of certain dwarf professions, generally deemed "useless": furnace operator, wood burner, potash maker, lumberjack.
5. Run a succession game, where players don't have to wait until second coming to have a turn.
6. GO FAST!
Version: 42.06 vanilla ASCII
Rules:
First and foremost rule: THE FASTER THE BETTER! This concept hereby applies to every single aspect of the game:
-Time frame for a turn is 3 days! Don't request a turn unless absolutely sure of your ability to meet this deadline!
-FPS must be 80 or above at the end of your turn. If you have a slow machine, fps must be larger or equal to whatever value you had at the start. To achieve this, use of any measure* is justified.
-DFhack use is compulsory.
-No magma furnaces, smelting or forges. Any other application of magma is fine.
-Fortress must export (or at least produce) 50 clear glass items every year. Threat is as a permandate.
-No slowpokes allowed! Dwarves marked as "Clumsy" and/or "Weak" must be whipped into shape.
-
Fastest solution to any of the fort's problem is prioritized over all others (as long as it won't cause immediate death or to the fort, or thrash it into unrecoverable state).
-Do all the above FASTER! for bonus Dwarven points.
-AutoHotKey use is strongly encouraged.
-Dwarf Therapist use is strongly encouraged.
*Except using DFhack to directly delete items, dwarves or other creatures. Init.txt tweaking is fine.

Spriggans' excellent DFhack brief:Commands that should be used at the start of a turn :
fix/fat-dwarves
Avoids 5-10% FPS loss due to constant recalculation of insulation for dwarves at maximum fatnes.
-> This is a must
fps-min:
Fixes the in-game minimum FPS setting
max-wheelbarrow:
Allows assigning more than 3 wheelbarrows to a stockpile
-> The more wheelbarrows the faster. Even if fastdwarf may make it useless
fast-trade:
Makes Shift-Down in the Move Goods to Depot and Trade screens select the current item (fully, in case of a stack), and scroll down one line.
-> Faster trading !
autobutcher
Assigns lifestock for slaughter once it reaches a specific count. Requires that you add the target race(s) to a watch list. Only tame units will be processed.
-> We will set the count to 0 for every creature. Since animals will slow the game down, we want them to be butchered faaaast !
Commands to be used always :
autodump
This plugin adds an option to the q menu for stckpiles when enabled.
-> Must not be used to destroy items, but to dump them. Atom smashers or magma must destroy items.
Commands to use at the end of the turn for extra FPS gain :
clean
Cleans all the splatter that get scattered all over the map, items and creatures. In an old fortress, this can significantly reduce FPS lag
tweak fast-heat
-> Only use it once temperature things have been discovered and the init temperature parameter is enabled

Sonuvagimli's AutoHotkey instant start guide:1.Install Autohotkey (links are below)
2.Right click Desktop -> New->Autohotkey script
3.Right click created script->Edit Script
4.Type in the follwoing (no quotes) "1::Send,b"
5.Save the script.
6.Double click it. You will notice a Green "H" icon in system tray. You script is now active.
"1" is the key you will physically press on the keyboard, and "b" is what actually Dwarf fortress will see. "::Send," is a program code, and must always be there. In this case, pressing 1 will open the building menu. Before using the script, make sure Dwarf Fortress has the window focus!
To send Shift+<letter>, simply use a capital version of the letter. 1::Send,A is equivalent to Shift+a
For utility keys: {<key>}. Example: 1::Send,{Enter}{Space}{Up}{Down}{Left}{Right}{Esc}{Num1}{Num2}{Num3}{Backspace}
Use Autohotkey to make lengthy key press combinations go off with just one press(without quotes):
"1::Send,bCw" - Pressing 1 will open wall building menu
"1::Send,zypHauler{Enter}" Pressing 1 will give a custom profession of Hauler to the dwarf, highlighted in the Unit menu (U).
"1::Send,gax{Right}{Enter}{Enter}{Enter}tb{Up}{Enter}" In adventure mode, will make your character pick up stones, knap them, then throw them north, levelling knapper and thrower skill. Can be held down to get legendary levels in these skills in 2 minutes.
