include red eyes b. chick, maiden with eyes of blue, ancient rules, possibly the red eyes darkness and darkness metal dragons

forbidden lance and chalice are a must, too

make sure to include staples like mystical space typhoon as well

yeah, I know
I just dunno about darkness (metal) dragon though
that's a lot of angry dragons for one girl to contend with

also, are the cards "alive" even when not in play, or do the monsters have to be summoned in a game to interact with people?

Their Deck is like their 'room' and your deck is like a pocket dimention, there may be dream shenanigans for some people relating to that.

They can sense their surroundings, and some can communicate using their spooky powers.

For paraphenalia, their normal form is just another form of them, so they are still animate in whatever way would make sense.

Oh, TBF, for exploding kittens, All players have a defuse card shuffled into their deck if you combat them, for balance reasons.

The rules say that Skill is used for unorthodox stunts while Heart is used for impossible feats. I'm a bit confused about when to apply each. Could you go through the following scenario and tell me which stats would apply for each action?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Oh dear. Does that mean Thomas has been carrying around a sentient mini of a tank with extremely destructive live weapons this entire time?
